Those dark spots, I want to dismiss it too. But if it's some hazardous growth, I'll have to do something about it. Otherwise, I would not have mind as it doesn't affect comfort nor aesthetics. In fact, it's damn comfy.

Where do you get your cleaning accessories? Do you fit your footwear with boot/shoetree too? I'm looking for Red Wing cleaning accessories particularly for the 3140 and a suede cleaner.

Can't tell from picture what were those dark spots. are u able to wipe off the dark spots with warm water or cleaner? Anyway don think they are hazardous.

Most of my redwing accessories bought from ebay. The redwing wing stores in singapore seldom carry most of the stuffs. Ocassionally, they will bring in some creme, suede cleaner and leather dressing. U can call to check with them. Dono why, the redwing suntec uncles always recommend mink oil :)

I don't use shoe tree at all, cause i want my boots front to be curve, lol :s13:
Anyway, when I don wear them, I will stuff in old news paper inside the
shoes. Tips: old newspaper is good dehumidifier and helps to maintain the shape.

bought a 2907 from suntec shop. I got to say the service is indeed good. i went to buy just the brush and mink oil, end up trying the 2907. I planned to get a size10 from online since I'm a size10 , lucky I tried it and who knows size 10 was too tight. the guy let me try size11 and it was comfortable . plus he gave me a 10% discount due to a little dark spot on the shoe that I did not notice at all. really good service !

Tried, in fact, those pictures were taken after I wiped it twice. Before, there were oil/glue stains too. I tried using newspaper too, no effect.

Mind sharing your eBay contact for those items? I wanted to order online, but worry about customs with their restriction on items; oil, flammables.

No no.. don use newspaper to clean your shoes. Just wear it, don worry too much bro...

For Rw 3140, Oro-iginal Leather type, just mink oil, boot oil or
Obenauf's LP good enough. Mink oil and boot oil can get from suntec.
Obenauf's LP can get from Ho soon lee or truckshop. Most of the oil will darken the leather, but will fade back to its orignal color. The key here is to apply thin layer.. not a chunk. I saw
some people applied too much oil and the leather became so sticky. This is not good cos the dust will stick on the leather.

The ebay seller is rockbottomshoes. Not sure he still selling.....
Y not check with redwing suntec to see they have the stuffs that u want to get?

I wore my suede red wing for the first time today with nudie jeans, it was raining and when I reached home, I found out that there were blue stains on the boots. is it normal for suede shoes to easily absorb liquid ? it's my first time wearing suede red wings

Get those cusion insole without any hard plastic that can potentially damage the inner sole of your rw.

Aiya very common lah. Even if not raining your denim jeans will oso stain your shoe, especially if u r wearing new pair of jeans. The indigo stain hard to remove oso. Can try lighten the stain by apply leather cleaner than gently wipe off with a piece of white cloth.

Saw this guy wearing red wing today. But there's a logo of a panther on the side of the left shoe engraved in the leather near towards the heel. Is it fake or a cheap knock off design?

Hey guy...

Kinda stuck, Hoping to get some suggestion...
Went to red wing at suntec and was told that my size is us 8. Tried it on and look kinda like a big foot with my nudie... The staff over there told me it should be that way though. Try on size 7 and look so much better...

Having a hard time deciding which to get... any suggestion guy?

go with what fits your size. if size 7 is tight, but still comfy, and try getting different width. might be because nudie is like jegging, that's why looks weird.

can recommend a nice pair of red wing boots?

is my first =X

I am thinking of getting

1) Red Wing Heritage 3141 - Work Chukka
Red Wing Heritage 3141 - Work Chukka - Brown Briar Oil Slick Leather - Free Shipping & Return Shipping - Shoebuy.com

2) Beckman
Rakuten:

but it seems many people are wearing those like army boots one, so thinking of trying too.. any model to recommend?

where in orchard can I try ah?

think getting a beckman should be good. orchard you can try at Far East plaza left foot, but I think the collection there for red wing quite limited. suntec got more choices though .
