Update from Sony PC Companion.

The file has to be pretty big if it advises to be at least half charged even when connected to pc before updating. And even with my internet speed, its taking 8mins.

They really boosted its response time with this one. Feels like its running a quad core cpu.

to add on, for those cant update through PC companion, install SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service) to update your phone.

Hi, after updating to Jellybean.. I seem to need to press on the top left corner of the app icon to open any app. They seem to register my tap but nothing done if I tap elsewhere around the icon. Previously on ICS anywhere around an icon can open the app. Anyone know of anything I can do to rectify this? Thanks.

Just updated to Jelly Bean on the Xperia V, so far so good, the phone seems to move a tad faster and smoother....

Hope no bugs in this update....

Is the screen legibility better in bright sunlight compared to ICS?

I'm getting battery drain after installing Jelly Bean.

The handphone becomes hot.

How would software change the hardware?

When I reinstalled and the phone booted I noticed the display brightness has become like xperia z. Super bright, side viewing looks cloudy . That's why I was curious and was hoping the display will be like xperia z. Set to fifty percent or lesser yet legibility still legible under sun. And I just installed the software shortly after I posted my first query.

Hey I also have this problem... thought the icons spoilt until I pressed the top left corner of every icon and folder on the main screen and even in the all apps screen...

Have you solved the problem? My set is the James Bond Edition... quite irritating to the usage.. seems like this version has random bugs...

There might be a software corruption, I will suggest you to do a PC Repair using the PC Companion and it should be ok after repairing the firmware.

Ya behwatch, I have done a repair using PC companion as suggested by carlover. Yea everything is working fine now, just a bit troublesome.

On a separate note, I tested google now. It really is a battery drainer.. 10% in the battery stats for google search, 10% for google services.
