Lols fyi this is one of the laptop offered by the poly

Lenovo Y400 right? I wouldn't recommend that even though it's cheap because the service center is just sucks. MSI GE60 with GT 650M or GTX 660M is not enough for playing BF3 on ultra settings and 1920x1080 resolution, must lower down the resolution to 1366x768. For FC3, I believe can forget about playing it on ultra settings without GT 680M/Radeon 7970M.

Yeah. My laptop for poly has the 660m and it cannot handle Bf3/fc3 on ultra. Though if you play both games on low settings and 1920x1080 resolution, the fps is around 30-55fps(depending on location)

Thanks for taking my question seriously yes it's the y400. So which laptop do you suggest with budget around 1.5k?btw bf3/fc3 on ultra settings is just a joke I know Gt650 can't handle these games. I don't really need a GTX680M or 7970m on my laptop just maybe a mid range graphic will do as I said it's for poly but that doesn't mean I would just get a integrated graphics

A laptop with GT 650M DDR5/GTX 660M is the most worth value, at least able to play latest games on low-high settings and 1920x1080 (some must lower the settings/disable the anti-aliasing). If you're planning to play games on low-high settings and 1366x768, GT 630M is the best choice.

For laptop with GT 650M DDR3/DDR5:
- MSI GE60 (GT 650M DDR5 for your budget)
- Aftershock X11 (GT 650M DDR3)
- Asus N46VZ/N56VZ (GT 650M DDR3 only)

For laptop with GT 630M/635M (cost 1k or lesser):
- Asus S46CM
- Dell Inspiron 14
- HP Pavilion 14

Since IT shows are coming on this Thursday, you might want to collect some brochures from there and compare.

Can but what's the FPS? Anyway integrated graphics card shouldn't be used for heavy games coz it will heated up easily. Dedicated graphics card not only good for gaming, it also helps for video editing or photoshop or converting video with GPU acceleration support.

I now considering ge60 because it's powerful and light weight too! X11 too small!

Then better check with PC Dreams if they still have the stock for the i5 + GT 650M. I think the i7 + GT 650M costs $1699 for IT Show.

Laptops aren't recommended for gaming.

Period.

Oh by the way, if you're in RP then I dealt with Y400. It looks like a Alienware copy model.

Wa so ex for i7 and gt650? Btw poly laptop selection all suck hp lenovo and fujisu

MSI may costs more but it has a better audio output (with earphone/speaker), screen, turbo fan for better cooling system and one of the lightest weight 15.6" gaming laptop out there. Personally I prefer listening music with my MSI GE 60 compared to my Sony Walkman Z. FYI i7 only necessary if you're doing photoshop/video editing/playing heavy RTS games like Starcraft 2 and Civilization 5.

Besides ge60 any other laptop viable? Budget around 1.5k. Mid range graphics will do but must be light about 2.5kg would be good.

I think GE60 is gd enough for u. If not u xan try MSI's mid-range CX61 laptop. Full-HD, GT640M, i7, ard $1399.
