It is very rare for you to find a helpdesk personnel who is very technically well versed to tell you 100% accurate things in the event of a problem.

But to lie and "smoke" my friend into believe her laptop is not so called "gigaspeed"(yes, the tech guy actually used this term to my friend) ready and almost cause her to try to get the so called 3rd party "gigaspeed" device to boast the speed is just despicable. And since when Pace is "gigaspeed". Feel like giving him a "jigawatt" lecture!

Ok. Sorry for the OT. Anyway. How to do tracert from a mac?

Singtel 150mbps with pace modem on labtop, getting 30mbps from speedtest using wireless. I was told max is 30 to 50mbps for wireless, anyone get any better speed? Mine just installed for 2 days.

Any repeater to recommend to boost signal?

On normal routers yes, the speed range is there about on a 2.4GHz frequency.

You need to probably get a better wireless router to achieve better speeds. Your wireless card must be also to take advantage of the better router you are going to get as well.

Yeah pretty worth... Doubt 300mbps pricing will drop so soon.

Coming from a 10mbps adsl to 100mbps fibre, no regrets. I'm sure once u made the change and experienced the speed differences urself, u might feel the same way.

thing is u need to compare with what you are paying currently which is 80+ thus its not a big difference, not like you are paying half of what you're going to pay, (e.g 50-60+ atm) if you're going fibre. You need to weigh stuff like this to decide.

judging from your reply, i guess you're more inclined to go for 300mbps at $130+?

if that is the case, you probably already made up your mind and feel the 100mbps at $106 is not cost efficient in terms of speed worth.

Just re contracted to Singtel 100mbps Fibre Broadband.
Previously was 50mbps Fibre Broadband.

Speed was 100% faster than before.

On Ethernet cable, it reached 96mbps download, 44 mbps upload
on wifi on Galaxy Note or iPad, i reaches only 30-40mbps download and 20-30mbps for upload.
