Using this Vantec usb 3 hub bought from South Asia at Funan for 34.90 on my mini.

Vantec ? Product

Mind if I ask are you using your USB3 hub with a desktop or portable system?

And what equipments do you connect to the hub? Do you connect a 2.5" external drive (bus-powered), and/or smartphone to the hub?

From your link, it seems that the hub is bus-powered (no power adapter). Interested to know if hub provides enough power for an external 2.5" bus-powered external drive and iPod/iPhone charging? Thank you.

Thinking of getting one for on-the-go usage. The one that I have right now works with a power adapter, not suitable for on-the-go usage.

I already mentioned I use it with a mini. Connected 2 a logitech webcam and a portable 1TB WD hdd. It can be powered by bus and it also has a socket for power adaptor.

The prices listed in amazon are in USD. How much in total did you pay for it inclusive of shipping charges.

I try to order the item from amazon, putting my home in sgd as the shipping address, but cannot complete the purchase process.
You need to have a US address in order to complete the shipping. One way is to register for a vpost account. This will give you a US address but of course a charge for your postage service
