RK3188 is still the current quad core champion when it comes to performance.

will be superseded by A-15 dual and A-15 quad later this year.

but performance and raw antutu score is hardly the ONLY deciding factor when it comes to picking up an MIC tablet.

Agree. If the firmware is not optimised for the hardware or still buggy then it is not useful at all.

haha :s13:

Interesting.

Nope, I more like a Stealth reader, busy with work and family. Only when I am stuck then post questions to bro Seasoncrystal and kyleongwl.

Think I found the thread after it went 40 pages, everyone got a N7A already. I wasn't sure about getting it from SLS, but after reading all the valuable tips, it give me the courage to get my N7A from the shop and get it right.

I have been using Seasoncrystal's scirpt on it. Too lazy to sell it, now I let my son use it like a rugged tablet, just waiting to see how long it last. When I first have it, my son already drop it to the floor, step over it once by mistake. It still working after 1.5 years. :s12:

$499 RMB + $20 RMB (domestic, China to china internal shipping) = say $520 RMB

Lets take 5 RMB = S$1 ~ (estimate)

Convert to Singapore $ ~ 520/5 = about S$104.

Say express shipping charge S$8 for China to Singapore.

$104 + 8 = $112

Service charge is 8/100 X 112 = around $9

Estimated Total Cost should be about $112 +9

Hence approx = S$121

Lazy to go collect from them. Add $10 . They sent to your home.

= about ~ $130/=

Due to exchange rate fluctuation... maybe + or - $5

... So getting buying agent buy for you from Tabao for item cost around RMB$499.......should be paying somewhere between ...

$125 to $135..broad estimate only ...

:)

the maths is difficult, i dunno ABC ....

so if the price is rm499 how much do i have to pay w/express ship?

One note is that if you buy items at Ali Express with free shipping.

The arrival timing can be very unpredictable and quite extreme actually.

Can take 12 to 14 days to reach you.
It can also take 40 to 45 days to reach you.:s13:

Its really that extreme.

So if you get stuffs from Ali Express vendor with free shipping - be prepared. Or you would be hoping up and down after 3 weeks, Worry and wonder when will your orders arrived. Or you may starts to imagine that it might have lost somewhere during the shipping journey.:s13:

Initial experience, is bit stress actually.
BUT if you gone thru that - you accept the fact.
The wait will not be too painful for future orders :)

(virgin never had before can be walau oooi...KNN KNN ...the experience will not be very pleasant:) ha)

Hence, If get stuffs from AliExpress and you are those very impatient type, its advisable to go for either EMS, UPS or FEDEX.

You get your order much faster but not 4 or 5 days.

Maybe around 8 to 10 days after ordering . :)

Cheers.

YES if you uses EMS from any country, SINGPOST will sent the item to you via their courier contractor.

can track online at Singpost site.
Status looks like that :-

When seller sent out "-

"In transit from original Country" and NOTE the country of origin.
If the status state as "Country of origin" as HONGKONG or CHINA mean the item is still in that country.

When the status changed to :-
"Acknowledge at Transit canter " and "Country of origin is "SINGAPORE"
Mean your parcel have already(reached) arrived in SINGAPORE.

Can expect SINGPOST's Private courier deliver to you within 3 days.

I learnt that from experience. When call Singpost hotline. many of the operator answering you are really not in touch with their own ground one.
Many times if not everytime always give you wrong information one.

Once I asked if my item would be delivered "Today" (from China post)?
The hotline staffs swear it won't be delivered "Today", 2 days later.
Because the item just arrive last night.
But the delivery department delivered to my place on the same day i asked them.

Another time :
Via EMS.
I checked and tracked until "Country of origin" states - SINGAPORE.
So just want to check and confirm what that meant - One Indian sounding lady answering my question swear - very sure its not yet in Singapore. Asked me to trust her as she work there very long already. Assure me what she said is correct though I pointed out to her that - "Country of origin state "Singapore". Again she said the item NOT arrived in SINGAPORE yet. She also say, it sate Singapore because maybe it will fly out from SINGAPORE to USA" Than come back to Singapore . what a NUT. :)

2 days later their courier sent me the item.
their Courier contractor and the hotline people got communication between them one. Like strangers although their job is linked. Very strange.

One is accept parcel and sent another is sit ion the office tell you if you item arrive in Singapore already or not. They supposed to co-ordinate and co-operate so that they can give their customers a more accurate answer.

(From China post one) Say Singpost , postman will not deliver- they did.
Say item not arrived in Singapore yet(EMS one), BUT its already in their warehouse.

The hotline operator sit in air -con office - sips coffee maybe eat roti prata... and answer phone only. They don't talk to their other department one. raining outside I think they also don't know one.

Very sad that Singpost employs those in-efficient ppl.
really useless service - their hotline staffs always give wrong infos.

If you have experience calling them trying to get information you will experience lousy service. NOT accurate information given.

Out of 10 marks I think they score O. really.

You asked one simply question, I gave you such long answer :)
I hope I do answered your question :)

BUT for the rest of it, Actually I am ranting at SINGPOST. Your question actually reminds me of my bad experiences with those SINGPOST/SPEEDPOST so call inquiries hotlines. Most of them if not all are very foreign sounding.:).
And so far the answers they gave really BS and not accurate one.

Sometimes you call them , your blood will boil :)
can't get much help from them one.

Thanks all for the replies to my qns earlier..

Saw a HKC Quest tablet at Sim Lim this evening. It looks and feel a lot like Ipad mini. It's nice to hold in hand. Overheard the counter opposite 4th floor lift quoted $230 while another one (can't remember where) labelled $288.

English review
Chinese review
This Taobao webpage link compares it with Ramos X10 and Onda V818 mini.

$230 still quite reasonable considering that it's priced around 899RMB.

Anyway below is the list for all the 7.85/7.9" tablets. As of now, Cube U35GT is the cheapest with RK3188 & 1GB ram.
