Thinking whether or not to upgrade.

same rig set up! loving the phenom 2 still. Yeah, i think SSD would be nice!
My dad got a AMD Athlonx2 6000+ and i felt it's not very good CPU, temperature hitting close to 80 degree when watching video playback even with graphic card. Nevertheless it is still working after 4.5 yrs, changed one motherboard already, yeah luckily managed to find.
Upgrade to a 64GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD and it is still good enough for my dad daily usage.

Actually guys what's the biggest improvement when u add a ssd? Hear everyone saying to add ssd but have never used one before so pls enlighten me![]()
First things first, you know your windows 7 boot up screen where the 4 colours comes together in the middle? Even before the 4 colours can come together, you are inside your desktop already. Hahaha!
When you open a document or any other files or programs, its like instantly!

But that's only for boot up, and for the programs to start that fast, they must be on the ssd right?
ya that's the difference...my spare rig still P 2 destill good la...

I am thinking of whether to upgrade as well; partly because I see that now Intel has a much wider range of motherboard bundles to choose from when compared to that of AMD (Recent pricelists from Fuwell, PC Themes and TradePac).
But like some here have said, if your gfx and cpu are functioning well atm and your needs have not changed much, stick with your current build.
