Hmm i believe this is the updated/latest spec from clevo which should be similar in specs in regards to 765m

Review Schenker W503 (Clevo P150SM) Notebook - NotebookCheck.net Reviews

not bad considering its running high settings @ 1366 x 768 for Bioshock and Crysis 3 respectively

but indeed, 770 seems to be the stop gab while the overly priced 780 takes the cake both in performance and price :s22:

If this system is based on the Clevo, then how is temp and noise like with the 780? Really interested with the 780m in the x15s.

Best you come and gauge noise yourself at the showroom. This is an aspect that is a matter of personal preference.

You can also try the system at max load with a temp monitor at the showroom or all setups.

Cause I went down to funan but the 780m series is not displayed there. But I will try to go down to the serangoon showroom. Too bad I have to wait 3 weeks plus before you guys have stocks

The 780m was just moved over this evening :)

As for the wait. We've been working with our suppliers to make it quicker - It may be less than a week instead :)

The 765 m card is definitely an AMAZING card at it's price point. However, its no secret that nvidia's mobile flagship cards (680, 780 etc) are always quite far ahead of the rest of the lineups in performance.

Hi Aftershock,

I pre-ordered the XG15 at the PC show recently and I'm looking forward to the collection of said laptop. I just stumbled across this thread and came across the option for upgrading to the 95% gamut screen. After doing a tiny bit of research, I'm still not entirely sure just how big the improvement would be. Many people said many different things, some of which included how the calibration (which I hope and think you guys would carry out) might not translate so well to some games and a reddish tint (which the calibration would fix?).

I would just like to hear from you guys regarding this upgrade and what exactly it entails. Brighter colours? More vibrancy? I look forward to being enlightened by the gurus lurking around here.

Hey Karbum,

The gamut screens are very much superior in terms of brightness and color space representation. The standard screens however offer a much more neutral color outlook.

Both screens can be calibrated to your liking. My suggestion is to come down to view the gamut screen.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. Just another question. How long would it take to install and calibrate the gamut screen? Is it possible to do on the spot when I collect my unit and see for myself the differences. Or will I have to come down beforehand. Thanks again.

If my itchy geek mind can't wait, guess I will have to go with 765.....but having a 3k machine is really attractive when thinking long term:s13:

From my past experiences buying laptops with middle of the road graphics cards, I highly encourage you to get the 3k machine if you can afford it! My previous laptop kept overheating and restarting after a while of gaming because it just couldn't keep up. Granted the 765 is probably miles better than what I have, an ancient 555m, but the last time I bought a laptop I told myself I don't need such a good card, I won't play much games. True for a while, but then when I wanted to play more graphically intensive games, I wasn't satisfied with what I got, and constantly thought of upgrading. Its always nice to have a choice! So I went with an Aftershock X17S, to ensure me problem free gaming on high settings for a decent amount of time.

I agree to this. I too am currently using, to me personally, a middle of the road gfx card in my GT70, a 675M. Thats why i am very eager to get a 780m enabled card.

About 25-mins to half an hour. Yes if you collect at our serangoon office. you can compare and decide.

I think the 95% gamut screen looks much better than a normal screen. I one look and there was no return!

Pre-orders

Good news for the pre-orders from the last day of the IT show. Stocks will be in MUCH earlier, and the wait time should be just around a week :)

Yes. it will be avaliable in around a week :) Suggestion is to at least initiate the order process though since there is a waiting queue for system builds.

Wah really... Ok I'm coming to your store at serangoon. Just need to find a good parking spot. Want to try out the x15s and see how it perform heat / noise wise.
