Ahboy82 - The Portuguese is way beyond my budget. Actually, if I have enough $$, I'd buy the Pilot Watch Spitfire Chrono (online ~US$10,000):

The back has an image of the Spitfire - my favourite WWII flying machine. I'm a military stuff enthusiast and enjoy building plastic military model kits:

KohChris - Omega/IWC no contrast. Good point. Will need to take another look. I'm fair skin so will not want a dark face watch. Learning a lot from you guys!

Flame2000 - I looked up the lowest end JLC master Control Automatic (like you suggested in one of my earlier posts) . It looks nice but price is too high. The Zenith Captain Elite can be had for <$5000. And yes I like the thinness too.

Patryn33 - I thought the Zenith Captain Elite was launched in 2010? Though the movement dates back to 1990s. The Zenith and IWC Poto are indeed around the same price. So you feel the IWC is a better buy?

Iwc is at 7k+, zenith 4k+ why is that same? I did not insinuate same price but about a iwc would cost about twice as much.
I would talk iwc with a mod eta 2892 movement any day
A omega with coaxial has take long service intervals, will take that over iwc

If u like iwc go with it, a zenith is a better buy. Else look at nomos or the new frederique constant slimline manufacture moon phase. Not as well marketed as iwc but u get a lot more $$ for a watch

I did not mention launch date of captain elite just movement.

It's not a popular brand that's why much like zenith in the past. AD can give as high as 50% even when their movement is used in Rolex Daytona

must be a reason right? either not popular or sitting there for too long , cannot sell??

u ask for popular brands panaeri, literally 0% discount or minimal 5 % on less popular models

u ask for less well known brands like concord, zenith etc , most can give around 20% with occasional promotions with futher discount

But less well known doesn't mean no good.
I would never pay more than $6K~$7K for a Pam OP XI movement. It's basically a modified Unitas 6497 with the bridges in a different cut.
