Business Management Full Time. I don't think it's possible that I have to attend school 6 days a week, but there doesn't seem to be any option for me to book lectures & nothing much was mentioned about it during the induction & enrollment sessions too so I'm kinda clueless.

It depends on the amount of modules you take. For eg I am taking 4 modules so by right I should only have a maximum of 4 lectures per week. However I only have 3 days of schools as I have 2 lectures on the same day.

I have 6 days of lessons for the first week because of the visit lectures, where the lecturers from rmit melbourne will come over for the first 3 classes. I guess they are not gonna stay for full three weeks therefore classes are held 3 days consecutively (means 3 lessons for the same module in a week) So generally after the local lecturers take over it'll definitely not be a 6 day week anymore. To check your actual timetable, click 'my apps' then 'enrollment' then 'My timetable (list view)' and all the dates would appear. If not, just click 'enrollment' then 'My timetable (weekly view)' and you'll see the pattern.

As for the school fee payment, I called rmit and they told me that it'll be out by this week.

Thanks, I'd also like to ask about the timetable & course payment.
I just checked my timetable & apparently I have a 3-hour lecture everyday from Monday to Saturday. So do I really have to go to school 6 days a week or do I get to choose specific days & how do I choose them if I have to?
Also, for the payment, how am I supposed to know how much to pay for the first semester? I've checked my SIMconnect account but it's not stated there & I didn't receive any replies to the email I sent to SIM.

Thanks!

RMIT used to schedule each semesters time table. Only recently after the introduction of SIMConnect that students are allowed to choose the timing of their lectures. This is usually done before the start of each semester in which SIM will allocate an appointment date for you to book your classes online. If you've missed it, I presume that SIM does the allocation for you.

As said by one of the posters, your timetable may show a hectic first two weeks. This is normal due to the visiting lectures by RMIT. Other weeks will usually be 4-5 days per week. I'll find it surprising if indeed you have a 6 day study week for the whole of your semester.

As you've mentioned, there are different portals and emails to take note of. There's however no rush to understand all of it currently as you'll have enough time to familiarize with it during the course of your study.

Invoices are now handed by SIM in soft-copy format. Check your SIM mymail regularly for updates on it. The invoice should be accessible in SIMConnect once it is available.

Other than that there is nothing else for you to worry about in terms of admin stuffs. I personally went to my first lecture without any pass. For those who find themselves in that position should not worry. Just collect your student pass at the end of your lecture and do the necessary appeal afterwards.

One thing that you may consider is buying of textbooks. A little advice, never rush to buy the textbooks unless you know it is necessary. One good tip is to wait and hear what the respective lecturers of each module have to say about it. RMIT lecturers will always want you to purchase the textbooks but local lecturers may not see it as necessary. Best place to buy books? is here.

For e-payment you can refer to simconnect, resources, epayment. There's a pdf file with instructions.

i've actually looked into that, but i cant find "make a payment" option, therefore i can't proceed. :s11:

I've asked SIM & apparently they said that e-payment is not available & we've to head down to SIM to make payment.
