leejhong: the sample you gave me is what ar? i havent used it! lol

Thx

Bro, from my records, it shows as Vifa Molding Clay. Don't judge it by its appearance. Haha might not look pretty to you but gives you decent strength control. :)

Wow that's a very detailed review. Thank you so much! Any particular wax to intro for quiff? I see gaoxing recommend sponge wax. Any other alternative? Cos it's like oos almost everywhere.

There are many wax products out there to make quiff. Any decent wax that gives you reasonably strong control will pretty much do the job. Will pm you to share with you some of my recommendations. :)

just hooted quicksand.. anyone got hair spray to recommend?

Feeling Power Point Hair Spray from Japan. Lightweight is the word. Not many hairsprays can give you the advantage of lightweight. Most just emphasize on strength control. Schwarzkopf OSIS+ Session Finish can be a pretty good option too. Just to share, i brought in a new kind of hair spray too.VOI Hair Spray. Not exactly a strength-oriented hairspray but it comes with a very pleasant and fruity smell. Gives one a natural and casual look especially if you are out for a day of "sports".

it makes ur hair wavy ah?

Saltwater spray does not make your hair wavy. If you intend to make your hair wavy, plausible solutions will be to use a hair curler to make temporary curls or perm your hair at a hair salon. Saltwater spray is fundamentally used to create volume in the hair so that you can say BYE to FLAT hair.

Finally cut my hair by vivian at Kobayashi. Cut a side quiff similar to the picture few pages back. I can say that purple skills is slighty better cause she will usually use scissors to trim my sides and back instead of a trimmer. Vivian will push salon products. So far purple haven't tried to push me anything after 3 visits. I think I am gonna stick to purple.

Gonna try to style similarly using scheme cream, if not have to use sponge wax.

I think vivian used mousse to create volume first then finish with uevo grey wax

Would someone be so kind to compile up the list of products that are known to create volume? With pricing too would be greatly appreciated.

Gonna use with Uevo grey wax + finish with Osis+ freeze.

Yes. Saltwater spray goes good with any products actually. Except for the case that saltwater spray do not goes with well with another form of volumizing products (i.e. hair powder) as they are meant to be substitutes and not complements.

Vifa is an old hair brand from Hong Kong and its widely used in Hong Kong salons over there. The people there liked this brand, just like how Singaporeans like Gatsby but theirs is in a positive context while ours is kinda negative though. Do not worry about washing off. Its pretty washable; no reason to import products that aint washable in the first place. :)

Super compilation. Lol good job bro. I thought of trying mousse from redken, silver bottle one, I think the bottle says 03. But sea salt spray more natural right?

i'm using redken 04 mousse. not bad, gives quite a bit more volume. but from the reviews of sea salt here, seems like it cannot fight with sea salt spray. looks wise still natural enough.

alright just got my HDF sponge wax yesterday and only use it today for the first time and here is my user opinion. upon opening the cap the smell was alright then upon digging some of the product out, wow it is spongy as the name suggest need to use abit of force to dig it out. easy to spread on palm and also easy to apply on hair *i blow dry my hair*as well. as for the hold well nah not impress at all for now as i only use little bit not like in those videos where they put damn lot. i will use more tomorrow and see how it goes. for now if i wan to do some spike this wax doesn't cut it uevo green/grey is still better.

will update tomorrow once i use more.
