What i read from the MO thread is that Amazon provides warranty for North American and Play store under Google the warranty is directly from Google.

only UK sets' bands can be used in sg
thanks for info. After reading, seems like there's still some uncertainty on LTE support. hope there's confirmation asap. Been waiting for this tablet since beginning of 13.

so now where can confirm the LTE specs???

Singapore LTE networks use bands 3 and 7. Buying from the US would mean you can't use LTE here.

3G will work fine - both the US and UK models support the same HSPA+ and GSM frequencies.

Google: Nexus 7
Networks-Optional 4G LTE
North America:
4G LTE: 700/750/850/1700/1900/2100 MHZ (Bands: 1/2/4/5/13/17)
HSPA+: 850/900/1900/2100/AWS MHz (Bands: 1/2/4/5/8/10)
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

Europe:
4G LTE: 800/850/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 MHz (Bands: 1/2/3/4/5/7/20)
HSPA+: 850/900/1900/2100/AWS MHz (Bands: 1/2/4/5/8/10)
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

Wikipedia: List of LTE networks
Operator Country Frequency(MHz) Band
M1 Singapore 1800 3
M1 Singapore 2600 7
SingTel Singapore 1800 3
SingTel Singapore 2600 7
StarHub Singapore 1800 3

I think that's if you wanna rma back to amazon?

Else doesn't make sense that amazon sets don't have international warranty given Asus is providing it.

I read one of the mo thread, apparently Asus sg don't do repairs for now possible because the device is not brought into sg yet, wait for further updates in future I guess.

Take it as must send back to US first.

I supposedly thought so too, on Asus's web, it states the nexus 7 (2013) having international warranty too.

That's the case for 1st gen nexus 7. Asus offered international warranty. I'm guessing it should be the same for the 2nd gen nexus 7.. Haha

Those interested in knowing the shipping costs of the freight forwarders, please be patient.

Most of our packages, I should say all, are now stuck at the carrier due to it being a Saturday.

We will definitely report here after it is received and sent out by our respective forwarders.

Cheers.
