Tried ebook reading on Mini One. Feels good... almost like a novel, except that it's a bit fatter than most paperbacks... but it's very light... so makes it more enjoyable! :)

I don't think they will honour warranties once the payment protection lapse.
Unless you personally know them I guess.

So assume no warranty.

Would be better to get cheap brandless phone locally as chances are, local shops will honour warranty.

Saw somewhere someone having problem with charging, they say, it goes on and off sometimes.....like to share this with you guys...and hopes it help your situation...

For users/owners whom have intermittent charging problems. Such as when you plug in your charger, you see your tablet is charging , when you move the tablet, the charging stops. Or when you plug in your charger to charge the Tablet , no sign of charging until you push that charger head with a bit of force.... it shows charge,,,let go it stops charging..... kind of cases...

The solution would be.....

TRY tactfully and carefully strip off some rubber parts to expose the "charging lead" a "Little longer".

It should help it get better contact.

Some charger that are provided with the MIC Tablet, mostly have charging lead's length (the metal part that is inserted into the tablet for charging the unit) either just nice or little short. Hence sometimes, the charging may appear to have stopped..intermittently when you try to shift or move it about when its plugged in for charging... the charging lead got little loose, the charging would stop or goes ON and off....

Just nice case(contact), may cause intermittent disruption to charging process.... It may also cause inner sparking due to bad contacts..In that case, it can be a fire hazard..very dangerous situation, it can also risk your battery to potential damages.

(For the suggested solution) IF you do try to cut the rubber insulator to expose slightly more charging lead fro better contact, do it very carefully. Use a paper cutter knife should do....

IF you are afraid (no confident) to cut the rubber insulator ...worried about causing damage..than don't do it ( don't cut:) )... just use a rubber-band in a way that it holds the charging head with slight pushing inward action to ensure constant and "sure contact". Make it more secure. That should solve the problem. (for some cases)

Whatever method you prefers and does.
Hope it all goes well.

(The thing about) China Tablets or mini PC, they still provides quite bad quality charger with your order. Maybe they(try to) minimize the overall cost,(to enhance their profits) by providing very cheap and bad quality ones from their supplier. So many times, charger will give some problem....such as "bad contact, come already spoil ..., fake rating....(not 2000 mili-amps but stated as so..)etc etc...

The best solution(actually) would be buying a better quality charger, most times, that would solve the problem once and for all. Good for your Tablet in the longer run actually. Save you from a lot of potential problems.

That is fact. Those here having experience of receiving MIC Tablet with bad charger/charging will tell you how desperate the situation can and the problems they faced... and how eventually thru some advise..here..from some nice people, solve their problem. And faulty charger is one of the most common problem faced by people whom wants to save some $ and ordered their tablet from China online shops...... all over. :)

(BUT)of course, there are some very lucky people here got their China ordered Tablet with zero defects. (so lucky) However, a big handful are not as lucky and face other unique problem other than bad charger. Example broken screen, some button don't work, one side speaker no sound, can't even turn on..graphic related problem...etc etc...

Good luck and Cheers.
...

( am i talking to the wall ? :) I hope not..I hope this help someone in needs..)

Sorry... wrong term... I should say wider than most paperbacks... it's definitely thinner than a paperback... but it's definitely wider... but it's ok really... good for reading still... of course could do with a higher resolution... but you can up the text size and it will work out as well...

What do you guys think about value for performance/features vs price, of the new IPPO Q7Pro 3G tablet (A31S/1GB/8GB/3G/HDMI/dual cams/bluetooth/ No GPS), can get at US$141.

GD IPPO Q7PRO 7" Android 4.2.2 Quad Core A31S 1.5GHz Phablet Tablet PC with Built-in 3G, Bluetooth, Auto Screenshot, Picture-in-Picture & Capacitive IPS Touch (8GB) (Silver & White) | CE0507W

against the RK3188 Quad 8" Note8 wannabe, less bt/gps/rearcam, also $15 less.

Hi,

I'm looking for a china tablet to do the following:
- reading e-book and digital magazines and comics (will be activity #1)
- simple surfing, checking Twitter & Facebook (no need 3G, indoor wifi is enough)
- watching videos (youtube and video files - usually quality x264 or 720p)
- no gaming

If you are using yours for the above and happy with it, please feel free to share !

Also, I am a bit lost to answer these questions, maybe some tablet owners here can help:

- how important is it to be able to be root on the tablet ? And to custom the rom ?
- should I choose a tablet based on its cpu chip ?
- for a budget of max $130 sgd, is it realistic to want a battery life > 4h, and a resolution of 1024x768 ?

Thank you for your help !
