I think something needs to be done to all these after-services.

Guys, just give them some time as I have feedback these issues on the after sales service and the staff in Sony Mobile who is in charge of the service centre is also trying very hard to improve the service level.

if the reason for the long repair time of mobile phone is as depicted in the video, I guess it should at least be worth it?

I believe water resistance will take longer than normal phone which is just screws joining the parts together. Also like one of the fellow user had mentioned , u want a fast but poorly done up phone which another of the user here might be facing that after a jog the whole phone fogged up or u wait a longer time but a prefect phone was return which run perfectly for the rest of the warranty and beyond that??
Well it's hard to bear with a normal phone but even a low range smartphone also very easily available now so I still think a job well done is better than a rushed job.
All these IMO .

What happen if they said your rubber is damage and you got to pay 50 dollar just to replace it? :s13:

Well pay 50 to have a peace of mind that all will be fine when come in contact with water or u want to worry every single time??
This is very suggestive as different ppl handle thing differently. Same item used by different ppl have different wear and tear, so I goes it hard to discuss on this as it will be very debatable and never ending.
All boil down to how you going to fight your case, some ppl get thing done easy while other had to do it the hard way ( word used and explanation play a very big part)

Please define reasonable and unreasonable. You meant as a student 50 for a plastic flap is unreasonable and for a working adult it's reasonable?? Is that so??
IMO it all boil down to how you value the thing, some ppl say 50 is okay as it prevent and protect your phone from water damage rather then u keep humping on the 50 and choose not to and in the end more damage is done.
Money well spent is consider reasonable to me, some ppl scrimp here and there but get thing half done and in long run spent more. If a bit more exp but quality is there then why not as I also save on the hassle to get the thing replaced/repaired.
Ps: I still believe do not go down without a fight, need to fight for our consumer right. :)

But for the price you pay for the phone, you don't expect the rubber to broke so fast right? And most people would definitely try to talk to the CSO so that he/she will be able to get the phone fix for free.
