Never ask, she gave me an impression of " take it or leave it" , no more 10mbps..
between $29.90 for 2 yrs at 15mbps, and starhub $24.90 for 2 yrs at 25mbps..
I am now considering Starhub and terminating my under utilised home line..
Though I support snbb but their 15mbps is bound to a 2 yr contract. Might as well go for cable then..

Depending on where you stay, the 15Mbps is really slow at where I stay. Not sure if they are throttling a lot, but internet is noticeably slow during evening/ night time. Recorded 2x on weekend evenings, where the download speed dips to sub 1Mbps, and once, below 0.2Mbps... This is ridiculous.

In short, gonna boot them as service provider by year end. In fact, gonna sign up for fiber plan elsewhere this coming PC show.

I recontracted my 10mbps with SNBB 3 times.. so far so good.. at night using premium speeds are still maxed out and UT is reasonably fast (definitely not 1-2 digit speeds)

that is not a promotion package
That is a package that offer by retention department.

If you only talk to those CSO or hotline or hello shop.
They will not able to offer you this and they might not know has such package existing.

then how to go to retention dept?

call hotline and request to transfer your call to retention dept.

best if your contract has ended or going to end soon within a month.
If call in too early, retention dept might not want pick up your request.

Singtel has transparent proxy which interferes with alot of sites even simple one like timeanddate.com can't work. And yes they do throttle p2p traffic during peak hours and all day during weekends. I use a VPN to test all of these so I know the problem lies with Singtel.

After 3 yrs on this $23.45, and a refusal to my request for another of renewal, I finally give Stinktel the boot.
I went to comex on Friday and sign up with Starhub 25mpbs @ $24.90 and was activated the next day. I also bought a wireless router at comex.
Also given 21 mpbs mobile broadband.
BTW I ported my home line to Starhub digital voice , free for 2yrs.

Good luck to you guys, bye bye Stinktel until 2 yrs later
