i always play games at 1440p max settings.
not sure if my current card can do it for games like BF3, crysis 3 etc since it has very low vram.

is it good enough?

if i upgrade to a 780, will my current setup have any bottlenecks?

Should be no problem for BF3. Crysis 3 maybe need to turn down a notch or two.

GTX780 can take whatever you throw at it.

I'm using one with an OCed i5 760 4GHz and it can take the latest games without breaking a sweat.

Reference 780 is a card that comes out of factory stock. Stock blower, stock clocked speed.

Twin Frozr/Jetstream/Lightning/Myst/PCS+/DCII

All this are their terms of cooler used. The way they cool it is different from the reference card.

Next is the factory clocked speed out of the box is slightly higher than ref card.

For what i know there is no difference in terms of specs across all this cards and names. Just different coolers are used.

For me it doesnt matter whether you are buying a Palit/Leadtek/Sapphire/Powercolor etc etc. They are all the same. Just that it is cheaper especially Palit as it has only 2 years of warranty. The rest are 3 years.

Can try the 770 or the 7970

my gpus still do a crazy job for 1440p...so far only 1 game cui is witcher 2 uber settings hahaha

A 780 should be fine. Cpu wise the higher the resolution, the lower cpu power it requires compared to a lower resolution.
