bad is when they didnt check thier information properly and telling the customer wrong info.
And when questioned, still insist on thier wrong info until u call another CSO which tells you otherwise.
After VQW upgraded 300Mbps plan to 400Mbps, Singtel upgraded their 300Mbps plan to 500Mbps plan. There is some speed race here.
I'm wondering when VQW upgrades speed again to kick Red's ass.
Went down to Comex to subscribe just now, hopefully all will be good! I saw that they will give static IP as stated in the contract?
yeah. 1 static ipv4 address and 1 block of 1pv6
Hiring locals will not change that. In fact, it can make it worse as they will all insist on being promoted to Manager after 3 months on the job.
Saw that i need another router to be able to use the static IPs? Can the Asus N66U able to use?
Thanks
Asus N66U does support ipv4 but not ipv6 IIRC
Right on point. maylyn did post a list of Viewqwest IPv6 supported routers but I can only quote his post when I am using my desktop.
is there any termination charges for either the no contract plan and the 2 years contract plan?

Peeps... please treat the tech support with some respect, and not berate them.
I was once in their shoes with another major *ahem* before.
I know things can get frustrating, knowing OpenNet - they're usually the cause for all these (i've had my fair share of issues with them during my time).
They have their SOP/guidelines to follow as well, if you're advanced, maybe we can give them a heads up as to what we have already found and investigated?
We are all humans and may overlook certain details. They're not only serving you but others as well.
I emailed in a few times as well, having the team call me back (in a matter of minutes) and stepping me through the usual SOP.
They even went to the extent to verify with me details on my settings/cables/etc. Now who does that nowadays?
The only ISP i ever encountered delivering this sort of service, sadly has been swallowed by M1 (yes the defunct Qala).
Hi Nic,There are no termination fees for the no contract plan - all we require is written notice and for you to bring back the zhone and patch cord
For the 24 month contract you'll have to pay the remaining contract value (eg: if terminate on month 12, you'll have to pay the monthly subscription for the remaining 12 months of the contract)
Yup! All our plans come with one Static IPv4![]()
u should be pushing for jobs to go to locals and not FT..I would vouch that VQwest helpdesk and support staff are very good even though they might be FTs. At least they call and update me every time they have news.
What I have problems with is from Opennet...blady technical staff comes down 3 times liao over 2 weeks, still cannot fix my "no signal" from TP problem. -__-
if they cannot fix this problem, they shouldn't have told us that my block is ready for fibre 1 month ago, then I don't have to go through all these anticipation and disappointments...
Hopefully their trip tomorrow morning fixes the problem, else really must write to Opennet and complain big big.

VQ has only tested Roku 2, but if you have extra sets you could lend one to VQAnyone using Roku 3 with Viewqwest's FreedomVPN? Wonder if Freedom VPN supports Roku 3, thinking of getting one from Amazon. Thanks.
