I do use my note 8 for gaming. The games I play includes yi dai zong shi and fish island (3d with vibration alerts game). As u mention ur full charge with video and web browsing brings ur batt to 55% from 100% is kinda worrying cos even if I watch a video using qvod for 1hr at most drop 10%. Maybe u have a faulty batt? Mine can last me 15 hrs with constant usage of gaming video and web browsing (on and off) with 20 percent batt to spare though.

just an update. Downloaded dead trigger and played for 15 min. Batt drain is ard 4 to 5 percent.

Hey bro, if 10 shop sell 630 and 1 shop sell 588. It is actually better off buying the 630. This is to avoid unnecessary trouble. This theory always work. Don worry.

this is so crappy..i almost choked reading.it.. I have switched from the 630 shop to 588 shop.for about a year..i never felt better..the money saved could be used for accessories..

Stop bad mouthing others please..lol..guys from the 588 shop are honest rather then those 630 shop.that are glib tongue... Lol

Anyway, I hope what happen 11 years ago in Singapore mobile industry won't be repeating itself.

The 10 shop sell $630 because they wan to earn an honest living and not get into any trouble. They don wan to get into the mess happened so many years ago.

I didn't bad mouth any shop and I didn't mention any shop. We can voice out here in this thread. U have the right to go for cheaper alternative.

Are you all using the note 8.0 with the current touchwiz interface? I really like the tablet and planning to get one but the touchwiz bothers me. Are there launchers available?

Also in my other thread, I was stuck between the new nexus 7 and note 8.0. I went to opensurface and checked both products. I loved the screen resolution in nexus 7, but the lacking 1" and the sd card slot makes me wanna go for note 8.0. If note had a higher resolution I'd not think twice. Does the resolution make a huge difference? ...

Don't worry about Touchwiz. You can replace it with any number of third party launchers. It's as easy to do as installing an app; no rooting necessary.

I'm using Nova Launcher and like most other third party launchers, Nova is much more customisable and feature-rich than Touchwiz. You can make your screen as cluttered or as minimalist; as business-like or as whimsical as you want. Nova runs as smoothly, if not more so than Touchwiz and it won't affect the S-pen capability and other whistles that Samsung has included in the tablet such as Smart Stay.

Replacement Nova Launcher:

The extra 1 inch of screen and S-Pen of the Note 8.0 are way more important to me (especially the S-Pen) than the extra resolution of the Nexus 7.

now the only shop that can sell @ $588 can only be a few reasons:
1) the owner hav ca$h flow problemo..they need hardca$h
2) the staff is pilferin from the ca$h box
3) the product is an export model..export are meant to be cheap becoz no GST is added beside export model also can com from the baqk of a lorry
4) last butt not least..by buyin cheap..u will endup with 1 item missin..be it the battery or the charger even gettin a 3rd party headfone as well

Guys, we can't expect everyone to sell at the same low price. The price around Adix_82 shop is $630 and the price around orchard is $590. There are many factors controlling the selling price. Etc Price of stock, shop rental etc...... So no point arguing about this.

I myself hunted high and low for a "good deal" before committing.

another shop on the 2nd floor (when you finish the stairs) said 410 without gst refund and also 1 year international warranty.

Is there a sudden price reduction that I'm not aware of, or should i stay away from these two?

mobilesquare sells for 449, so these two didnt seem impossible prices.

your assumptions are all wrong...

the shop that sell 588 is in suntec and some people here bad mouth them alot..

before i was also a fan of the 630 shop in burlington.. thought service was good but after awhile..i realise alot of air talk ..

that led me to find alternative..now everytime i go to suntec 588 shop..

btw..dont think they have cash flow problem..cos they just expanded to another unit..

they sell local set..legit sets..if its export.. they will write export set and price

I don't think the staff take money from cash box cause everything you buy, they give a serialised receipt. Moreover their price are published on their website and also there is a big price board at their entrance.
Unless they are selling small items like fishball, I think pilferage is not.easy.

all items are sealed and i never had anything missing .. in fact for 588 price.. i get something more.. a cheap desktop charger and a bluetooth keyboard.. but have to purchase sp

however they have a few staff..some are very friendly but some are just ok ...but who cares...i get to pay about 50.00 less ..i dont need someone to sweet talk me and telling loads of crappy stuff

Go take a walk at suntec or far east..and you will realise how long you have been ripped off.
