Dont need sound card. Just use onboard. Unless you tell me your parents got golden ears.

And fyi $1.4k to watch movies and stream HD movies is already an overkill budget.

Do you know that a Celeron or Pentium can do just that?

MSI B85M E33 + Intel Pentium G3220 ~ $180
Kingston Value Ram 4gb ~ $45
WD Blue 1tb ~ $81
HEC 300w True Power ~ $35
Xigmatek Asgard XP ~ $58
Samsung ODD ~ $21
Windows 7 OEM Home Premium ~ $115

Total $535 buy from tradepac. DIY.

Jus wait for him to come back online and say it properly lor.... found it funny he wants a h60 for htpc...

Apologised to all I kept typing error due to using my hp

ok like I say early
I want AMD system
Set up more to Media playback for movie hd playback
i have tv of 42inch intended to have a pc to replaced dvd player separate sound system

I just want a PC of whatever you all may introduced me regardless of $1000 more or less
In my system I want An amd cpu not intel You may say I not in favour of intel

I want a HTPC casing as not show people this is a pc.
a sound card I say for good sound system Asus Xonar ? Creative Soundblater Xfi?
Ram 16gb ? actually I prefer max out to 24gb or 32gb but I know it a waste but since my budget more I can add more
H60 ? no good ? ok how about H80 ?
I know this set are more to gaming system set up

1st thing 1st. If you have up to 1k you are way better off with an intel rig. The current a10 6800k is just on par with an i3.

2nd. A htpc dont require an onboard sound card. If you use a good amplifier or home theatre at home, using a hdmi or coaxial cable, you bypass the sound to the amplifier to do the work.

3. 16gb of ram is retarded if you aint doing photoshop, or any rendering stuffs. A good 8gb is way way sufficient and still have lots of access to be spared.

4. If you are looking up for a gaming setup with $1k you could land youself with a way much better intel rig.

5. We are here to recommend and guide you the correct way rather than steering you off to some other nonsensical or no logic path.

6. It is not crap. It is more important that you read up the current apu a10 6800k first rather than saying you wanna build an a10 6800k first. It is different from those fx series chip.

7. Be it a h60 or a h80. If you aint overclocking you dont need that.

8. Lastly if you are looking for a htpc cassing that is to make it dont look like a pc, then it is more likely you will go into an itx setup. Next is if an itx setup is use you also would not be able to add a sound card due to lack of pcie x1 slot.
