deciding between these few hotels for 4 ppl :

KC place - Family room, near Airport Link (review service is kinda bad?)
Berkeley - Family room (kinda far from airport link)
Metz - Small room (good service)

Any advice?

KC Place near airport link, but when you want go to platinum mall or Centralworld, you have to walk all the way down which is like 10-15 min. If you stay Berkeley, you just have to walk the long distance when going to airport. The location is just opposite platinum mall, and you walk to centralworld around 2-3 min.

Berkeley is far more expensive than KC Place and METZ. But that location no bts, so kinda mafan, taxi always jam ...

Haha never stayed there before. Only did some research. Their room is 30m2, not bad , and reviews said that if you bring ppl over there, they will charged one more person rate.

Wow thanks!
If we 6 people can each room squeeze 3 person or need to book 3rooms?

Grand Sukumvit seems good, any of them do u think is the best for value?

recent review of them not really good.
most hotel allow an addition of bed for 3 people in a room. extra charges for that, but definitely cheaper than booking 3 rooms for 6 pax.
recent review of grand sukhumvit isnt that good in TA.

Normally you need to book, else you secretly go in lol.. The price is per night per room. Else you book a room with sofa so the third person can sleep inside.

If you stay in Grand sukhumvit, get ready for a mad dash during breakfast period. The hotel caters to a huge middle eastern clientele who travel in groups. So if you are looking for a relatively quiet and relaxing trip, skip that hotel. The location is unbeatable 5 mins from nana bts though.

With your budget, you will have lots to choose in Bangkok. You should firstly select a BTS station that you would like to stay and then narrow down to a few hotels.

Do note that the mystery hotels are hardly "mysterious" and not all of them offer excellent value. Well maybe if you compare them to the overpriced agoda all the time.

Have fun.

actually i don't find staying near BTS a good thing
it has become so expensive recently that it's cheaper to take cab when you have three pax
granted there's the infamous jam in bkk but we are tourists so we have the freedom to avoid the peak periods
furthermore, find that the jam is generally along the BTS line i.e. staying near BTS guarantees you getting caught in the jam...
