Hey so those using Neo Hybrid de, need some advice before pulling another trigger.

The case will make it bigger? I mean by how much, Note 3 quite big liao, will it turn the phone into like Mega? Lol

It's the perception of colour, white and bright colour will make the frame looks bigger. As such, white Note 3 hence will make the screen looks smaller too.

Due to the rubber casing material, can feel the phone is heavier. Another downside as mentioned by others here is the side chrome buttons not really "tightly-fit" as they are attached with gaps on the frame holes.

But, all in all, the phone is definately very well protected which instill confidence even when the phone might dropped accidentally.

Capdase Soft Jacket as introduced here can be considered as well, snugged in just nicely on the note 3 body.

Oh I see, that's actually what I feared... I realise quite significant increase in size when I use it for my S4, Note 3 on naked I'm having a little hard to manage with 1 hand, but still able to do it. If with Neo Hybrid, your review was it's much impossible to do it?

PS: 2nd day with the S View Cover, today is casually outside, still the flip front bothers me quite abit as it doesn't close together unless I hold it down for few seconds, the elastic thing really a bad design, what I fear more is the durability of it, how long can the "tenderness" of the flip can, don't wish to buy another for at least 6 months...

yeah thats why i forego cases a long time ago already. I am only curious about battery covers which can give the phone a different feel. Hopefully can find something that has the soft touch matte feel of huawei ascend mate.

Even screen protectors kinda like pointless cos note 3 screen seems less reflective than earlier notes, but kinda tempted still.

How I wish the S View flip case had a better design, they could at least put some metal design on the wordings like on the original back cover.... Frankly it's quite ugly, looks like some cheap 3rd party case...

I would advise against oleophobic. I used it for my note 1 and the coating came off after some time, and then it just becomes a crazy fingerprint magnet. I've been using optics so far and its pretty good.

Neo Hybrid really does make it alot bigger and bulkier. I felt like i was holding my Note 1 after I put on the neo hybrid for my note 3. Esp the width. lol.

That is not what I mean by different. The original cable from Samsung fits smoothly when inserting and unpluging. Where else the 3rd party ones are harder to insert and unplug. I suspect that samsung specially made some minor changes to their USB 3.0 cables. Originals are selling for $25.

You should try it for yourself and you will know. Have you try the samsung ones yet?

There's no difference lah. The difficulty with the insertion and unplug is probably due to low quality construction of the connector jack. Go get a decent branded cable and you'd likely be fine.

From what I read, most people had bad experience with oleo screen protectors. Maybe you would like to consider the expensive tempted glass screen protector instead? It truly brings out the true resolution of Note 3. For the past few days, I had been thinking do I really need to spend so much in such a high grade screen protector which in the past, I only purchase matt screen protector from qoo10 or daiso. To my surprise, the tempered glass screen protector is really excellent. You can't even tell you there is a layer of scree protector on.

Just got mine for $39 (from P2O; verified to be original). Two main downsides of the Neo Hybrid are:

1. It makes the phone look bulky despite only adding only a few mm. I think it's the raised black rubber bezel that causes this. The pictures below can't really show how wide it makes the Note 3 look, but it gives you an idea.
2. It cannot accommodate USB cables that are either too thick (on either side). The default Samsung cable fits well though.

what screen protector are you using? is it the glass tr? doesnt seem to cover the whole screen

Anyone bought spare Note 3 battery?

I believe it's alright if you aren't those that will drop their phones haha, for me yeah I don't much drop my phone, so maybe back covers are sufficient. Screen protector is a must imo, I never trust advertised Gorilla Glass 3, you never know when dust and particles can scratch it, yes it protects even against a knife, but seriously what will the chance be you using a knife to slash on it hahaha.

I'm against Ultra Oleo as well, sure it works for the first month, but everything wear off so quickly it turns back to normal SP, Ultra optics is better, last longer, but starts to see smudges even after 2 months, not as bad as Oleo tho, it will retains its Optics effect. Like many of us, we put Glass, it's really the best out of everything, just like using the phone without screen protector. All effects are present, from Anti smudges, fingerprints, oil, scratches with 9h hardness. Sure it cost few times more than Ultra Optics, but I'm enjoying it with Glass tR as if I didn't put anything on it
