hope he gets well soon! if got diabetes need to control his food intake le, just hope when he recover he dont anyhow eat >.<

hais abuse again. stupid ppl! :(

Could it also be FIV?

Butties, My sister called n talked to the vet. In fact he had multiple body injuries. When the vet cleaned up his body they found patches of dried blood. Now he is slowly eating his food and wants to come out of his cage.

Today the vet let him down cos he was making lots of noise wanting to be let out.

But when he stand his head is always slanted to one side. He can't walk properly and loses his balance often. It could be tat he got into an accident, fell down or exposed to some abuse which affected him deeply n caused trauma... possibly brain or nerve damage. :(

Now the vet is certain that this cat can't be put down on the streets anymore and need to be on homecare. I dunno how much the final bill is going to come. I will be posting an appeal once i get the bill next week.

That's terrible! I know of a cat that was injured somehow and now cannot walk properly too. Still having a full life so far as we can tell, but moves jerkily and slowly.

Managed to find the sick cat which had persisted cat flu on tues evening and rushed him to the vet. He was missing for 5 days. This was how he looked when we found him:

He tried to stand up but his legs were weak n he collapsed.

Vet took blood test and found tat his Platelet count n white blood cells count are very low. He was hospitalised.

Thurs - 3rd Oct, my sister went to visit him. He ate abit and when he see my sister he come towards her:

Vet said she noticed some discoloration in Blackie's urine and tests revealed high amt of glucose. Diabetes is a possibility or could be kidney problem.

But the vet suspects that its most likely Blackie could be a victim of abuse n exposed to trauma of some sort that caused injury like the nose to swell and also physically affected the kidney deeply.

Overall his immunity is very poor compared to other cats and that is why he's recovery is slow and the flu is still persistent.

:( hou mai jin poor thing.

Thks very much Seinko and lurker_13. The current bill as of now is $800+. Once i get the final bill i will post here.

Update on Blackie:

He is not on drips anymore. He is very fine now and eating alot n gained abit of weight. His head is still slightly slanted and loses his balance sometimes when he walks. The vet will let him out sometimes cos he's too bored.

Also one bad news. He have feline leaukemia n need be on medication n vitamins regularly to boost his immune system.*

He will be discharging in 2 days time. Hopefully there is someone who can take him in. There is already someone who is willing to be a regular sponsor. Me n my sisters will also sponsor for his food, lodging n medications.
