I found the leather quality to be below par (i.e. that includes the leather lining) so I'm definitely not okay with it but posted the pictures here just to see if anyone encounters similar situations/quality before and their thoughts on them.
I'm also surprised that AE did not mark this down as a factory second/rejects/whatnot which is normally what they do in such cases. (marking the sole/box label with a W/a sole/FR marking) before they send it to Amazon.
My beef is more with Amazon than AE. Just cause they sell it below market price does not mean customers should expect below par quality esp. considering that they did not mark it as factory seconds/factory rejects. It's altogether a different thing if they did mention the quality of their stock is lower hence the lower price to commiserate with the lower quality. I think my issues are more on the matter of mis-representation than anything else. I'll be shipping it back to Amazon, will probably not buy from them again for shoes.
