Hi guys sorry to interrupt. I'm new here, after " accidentally" browsing for topics on hair loss on the net. I'm 32 and have been suffering from male pattern hair loss for several years already, and the balding process get much worse since early last year.
Deciding not to completely give up even though I'm left with seriously not much hair left, planning to try both minoxidil and propecia together to see if there's still hope.
May I know the usual price of propecia by NSC as compared to others in Singapore?
Thanks in advance!

Balding will only go from bad to worse if left untreated. :(

If memory did not fail me, each pill is almost $3. Have to take a min. of 3 mths to see results. FYI, not all derms are good with hair loss. When you call for appt, ask for a recommendation to a derm who specialise in hair loss.

If you can afford it financially, will strongly recommend hair transplant. Afterall, it is bad to be eating pills daily and the costs of the meds will add up to what hair transplant will cost ultimately.

is there any gd anti dandruff or clear oil shampoo to recommend?

One of the best shampoos I have tried so far are Rene Furterer Curbicia Lightness Regulating Shampoo, Clay Shampoo or Clay Mask for oily scalp. Pharmacies usually have promotions. You can try counters where there are sales assistants and try and ask for samples to try. They also have dandruff shampoo for oily scalp, which work pretty well. But is more expensive than Selsun Blue.

For dandruff, Selsun Blue Medicated works very well for me. They have a normal and oily formula. I have not tried this for oily scalp though.

Thanks wallhc for your sharing. At this point of time, I may not afford for transplant yet. It costs at least S$10k right? So you did yours and the hair loss process stops and won't bother you again?

My hair transplant cost about $10k, paid through 0% interest installment for 12 mths. No regrets!

So far, I had realised the hair loss minimise very greatly. Not so bothersome now. Although there is still some hair dropping after bathing (which the doc says is normal cycle), but is certainly not that bad till wifey will comment that 90% of the hair she find in the house in mine!

Hi, new to this thread. My problem is oily scalp and hair loss. I currently using Natur Vital and no clear results. So, looking into thread here what can I get to improve my condition ? Haven't seen any doctor and of course not those like Beijing 101 or Yun Nam.

Reading into Propecia and Minoxidill. Which shampoo in local has these 2 items in it or should I import them from overseas ?

I don't think you'll find a shampoo that contains Propecia or Minoxidil. Propecia is still a prescription drug - dun think they will anyhow put into shampoos at Guardian, Watsons etc. Minoxidil is meant to be applied to your scalp and stay on it... needs to be absorbed well so doubt there'll make a shampoo with it since you're just wash it all off :p

You should consider seeing a doctor if the problem worsens. Right now I also use Regenepure DR shampoo to reduce the hair loss. It's the only thing that's worked for me after trying all the ones sold in Guardian, Watsons. Good luck!

Generic pills are dangerous.

Has anyone done ARTAS® Robotic System FUE Hair transplant? It's using a machine to extract the hair and the surgeon will implant it. Thought of having it but its freaking expensive. About SHD11k for 1000 grafts

ARTAS® Robotic System. Anyone heard of it? It's using machine to remove the hair and the surgeon will implant it. Results published are better than hair manually removed. Anyone done it? Asked around and cost about SGD11k. So expensive.

I have tried Regain 5% and lots more but frankly speaking they don't stop hair fall. They will only slow down the rate. Prophecies I had to stop cause my wife read about the harmful effects.

I also tried FUT hair transplant some years ago but I guess the surgeon was not up to standard. The result was if could I would like to say ****. I paid SGD5000 for at most 500 grafts and only I think at most 100 left standing and it looks weird. Real sucky. If I could I would turn back time and don't do anything and just shave bald.

Does anyone have some legit propecia to sell, even 2 weeks supply will do,
I just want to try because i dont want to go and spend hundreds on stupid blood tests etc and dr consultation and then buy overpriced and then cant use because of side effects,
Androgen blocker give me sides very fast, so i am quite sure propecia might not suit me but i still want to try,
Please message me if possible,
thanks

From what i know you need at least 3-4 mths to even feel the effect.

Trust me, i am hyper sensitive to all hairloss meds, i will know in a few weeks if i can tolerate or not, i dont expect my hair to do anything in a few weeks, but i think i can make a judgement on body reaction

I had Propecia for many years. Stopped after reading the side effects of it.

Heard from a transplant surgeon before that statistically it actually only affects 4% of people who take it in that way. But of course, this sort of thing will freak people out so it's become a bigger deal than it really is.

Using low level laser for to minimize hair loss and promote hair growth is the way to go. Had thinning hair for a couple of years and went to try lasers on my hair.. positive results and having lesser hair fall and more volume now after 3 months.
