So what are the 'additional restrictions' that followed?

I ordered mine on amz, 32GB, took around 10 days by iparcel.

U want it immediately and local warranty is a concern, get it from local physical shop.

U want it cheaper, u can wait, and u dun mind there is no local warranty, get it from amz.

I'm torn between getting it through Amazon vs buying it locally.

Warranty is not an issue to me. I don't think I've ever sent anything for warranty repair before. I'm not in a rush either.

On one hand, I do want to vote with my dollars and let vendors know there is local demand for the Nexus 7. On the other hand, I don't want to send a message that the $70-80 premium over the US price is acceptable.

Most probably I'll buy it locally from a shop that I like.

Finally received my totally new 16gb Google Nexus 7 from Amazon today after 23 days of waiting ! But I've decided to sell it away at $310.

It is untouched and still in the unopened Amazon packaged with the receipt and everything else ! Anybody interested can contact me at 909two837one

Meet up would more preferably be around Woodlands, thank you ~

Is this still available? Any reason for selling it?

Just got an LTE set from Asus Vivo.

Does anyone know if the Nexus 7 2013 is compatible with the Nokia wireless charging plate?

I asked both young chaps serving me at that Asus Vivo outlet but they were clueless..

I just ordered my 32gb from amazon
$269USD(S$350) vs S$425 local set
Plus I can get 6% on the amazon online purchase through ocbc frank card so the choice is obvious for me.
Almost $100 diff, worth the gamble

Those that don't mind using CGW to buy can get this eBay deal at US$20 discount. Deal running for last 8hrs may end soon. CGW Shd be faster than iparcel.

New Apple ipad coming out in Nov. Will the price of nexus 7 2013 drop further?

:s22::s22: The Nexus 7 2013 is already incredibly cheap. You get 32GB LTE performance at US$349 - the Apple equivalent, the iPad mini Retina 32GB LTE is US$629.

That's 80% more.

I just called Asus Singapore hotline to ask about
warranty for sets bought from Amazon.

The staff asked for my serial number, check their system,
and replied that it's under Global International warranty,
so it's covered in Singapore as well.

* correction... my set was from U.S. Google play store

If this is the case, why there are people/seller saying that buying from US is not covered.... :s22:

Amazon sets are not covered. I just checked with the person above and he said he got it from play store.
