what the beauty behind PAM? I personally find it as an oversized watch.

same here. not about oversized but the design just doesnt appeal to me somehow.

Why don't take a look at helson watch bro, it's a micro brand by a Hong Kong guy. Using Swiss eta movement also.

The crown guard actually quite interesting mah, and love the simplicity of this watch. To me panerai only the base model is nice. Those complex with chrono, power reserve, gmt etc etc spoil the original look already.

Which is why u don't get why ppl stated pam 382 going for 2-3x retail! Not seen ppl listing at sgd$60k

Prices will only go down with more pam flooding the market.

I have not been into Pams for more than 1 year but I hear from those well-versed in Pams have pointed out that when the 382s were 1st released in 2011, they were definitely around the US$11k region, so yes, the 382 has appreciated about 2x.

IMO, prices may have soften for the 382 due to the 2013 release of the 507, which has the same bronze casing but with slight differences.

same sentiments, just cant seems to attract me. maybe those who prefer divers will not so much prefer pam. i think lah....

Sure. Can't explain the attraction that makes me like Panerai. Different strokes for different folks. You like A, I like B. But I know Henabi and I share the same love for the same football team. Others would disagree though.
