I don't think so. I've been reading the N5 threads on HWZ and quite a few people are questioning the Non LTE support in SG as they say 1800 spectrum is supported here so the phones from US will have LTE like the N7 LTE from US. I guess we'll only know for sure once the US phones arrive here

Did a double-check, according to Singtel's own website, their LTE frequencies are 1800 and 2600 which are bands 3 and 7. US's Nexus 5 only support bands 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41. Those outside of US support 1/3/5/7/8/20. Hence to use 4G in Singapore, you have to get non-US Nexus 5.

Nexus 7 US version support LTE Band 7, hence you can use it in Singapore but the Nexus 5 doesn't

I know what you're saying. I ordered mine from Australia as I didn't want to risk it. And you have a point on the Band 7 for the Nexus 7. The people asking are confused at this part

North America:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41

They see the 1800 and think GSM 1800 = LTE Band 3 too
So although Band 3 isn't listed for Nexus 5. The folks still think it should work.

As for me, I didn't wanna risk it, so I went the safer route :)

Hmm JP 32Gb 44800 + Tenso Insurance 100 + Tenso Service Fee 490 + Tenso shipping 1800 = JPY 47190 = SGD 597.5

Add GST - $597.5*1.07=$639.3

Like not very worth it.
Add $71 more can get LG G2 aldy with local warranty.

I made a call to Google Singapore, and was told that they do NOT have any unit of the Nexus 5 here.

I have sent them a screenshot, and will update you guys if there are any new updates.
Hi all,

Google Singapore got back to me. They said the address was used as Singapore is the HQ in this region.

This does not mean they have the units here to be shipped to Japan or Australia.

True but LG OS is utter rubbish. If you follow the reviews, the G2 has gotten slammed left, right and center because of it. And who knows when CM will get kitkat running stable on the G2 (if ever). We know CM will run smoothly on the N5 in a matter of weeks. And while we wait, I am very happy to stick with vanilla android. It will be much more stable than LG's Frankenstein version.

There's still the battery. 2300mAh vs 3000 mAh.
Maybe I just wait for the reviews before I decide.

Thanks so much for highlighting that.

I stated that in my article, and I don't know why people keep asking about the LTE support.
What about my case?

I'm not subscribed to any 4G.
Can i get get HSPA speed for USA sets??
