I got many orders without confirmation email but as long you see order number when u finished ordering or its in your "My Orders" page, definitely will ship out.

All the orders that I never got the confirmation email, have already shipped out now.

I agreed with u...all those expecting immediate confirmation....chill out...ive ordered so many nexus 4, 7 and 10s (for others and myself).....Google will only charge u on or near the shipping date...so if ur shipping date is 5th November.....the confirmation will be around or on that day.....this is the same for all on line retailer like amazon......u all can don't be so kiasu or not..

just feel that n5 is a pretty good phone considering im looking for smtg simple - stock android

What kind of review? Do they ask you to provide documents to prove your identity?

Btw, Google Play customer service representative has got back to me saying my order is now processing and will be shipped by Nov 6. I have received call from bank that full amount is charged. I guess it's almost ready for shipping now. Though, my order status in the Google Play is still showing pending.

I have tried to narrow down the issue and they didn't tell me that. Just tell me to wait 48 hrs. Damn it!

I'm also really keen on the phone. However I have a few reservations, hopefully you guys can share some opinion on it.

1) Warranty issue - since this is a first gen phone, it might be prone to some major bugs/probs , without the warranty(buying frm jp) - is it still safe?

2) amazon listing - any idea when the asia version will be available? (probably offer warranty as well)

3) cost of fixing - i und even with warranty nobody in sg can help - it needs to be sent back to US/JP , how much would the repair usually cost?

Just feel that without all this support and warranty, might not be worth shipping it over especially since its not as affordable as n4.

Better dun order if you can't get over your concerns above and wait for LG to launch locally.

I am waiting for actual total cost from forumers before deciding to order from JP, all a/cs done up, only pending purchase. I have purchased US N4 before so the above concerns dun really matter to me. To me warranty is not an issue and will only need it IF the phone really go bonkers. Other than that, I will save a fair bit given that usually local sets are more expensive.

The shipping is AUD$19.95 for 1pc from Google to an OZ address.

Total I had to pay my friend is AUD$421.

Based on the currency exchange last Friday, it is about SGD497 which is about the same amount I paid for my N4 last year when I shipped from U.S.

nexus 5 dude, not nexus one

since you are so concerned, I think you wait for the launch version in SG, some 8 months (if it comes) later.

If anyone is interested to know, I called Google Play US and asked about buying the phone from Japan the warranty. They said the US side can settle the RMA process but we need to send the phone back to Japan. So no need to deal with the Japanese Play Store reps.

I got the ship confirmation about 24 hrs ago, till now still cannot track on the link. strange.

I believe you have to put tenso's address as the billing address. I'm only 50% sure though. Search this thread for more info.

To make matters worse, people who ordered later get their orders shipped while we're still here sucking our thumbs not knowing if we should cancel and rejoin the end of the queue or wait.
