Google Playstor JP already charged me on my CC $580.62 for 32GB Black. No delivery charge from vPOST and GST yet. Since the said item not yet arrive on their facility. But if you about take notice 7% plus the delivery itself i think $650 my best bet.

Hey guys,

If money isn't a problem, vPost can or not? Or does Tenso have a higher success rate? I'm aiming for the one forwarding service that has a higher success rate, or do they both have the same success rate? I prefer vPost too, because there is Singpost at White Sands and I can collect any time I want.

Thanks!

If money not a problem, then go to changi airport and book the next flight out to japan. reach there, rent a apartmentl. book through japan playstore direct and deliver to you.

then fly back to singapore.

should gives u 100% success rate.

Aim but unrealistic imho. What takes away your battery is mainly your screen not your apps (unless you're talking about wake logs/rubbish apps). So unless your 1500mAh phone has got a small screen, don't think it will last long.

There's only so much optimization that can be done on the phone and given that 2 competing phones are running on the same software version, the likely winner (in terms of battery life) would most probably be the one with the higher capacity battery.

Yup :) Just using an exaggerated example :)

Is Nexus 5 available at Australia retail stores like USA BestBuy ?

Going to Australia on this friday. If units available at physical store at Australia , i can buy from there.

I have placed order of 2 Nexus 5 at USA Play Store. now hesitating to cancel the order as the concern of no LTE support at most of ASIA countries. If got it,that is to say another year of no LTE for me...

I dont know why Google plan the LTE band in such a way that there are no overlapping between europe and North America..that is to say this phone is no good for world wide travel.

based on my estimate. the forwarding charge for vpost will be
(16+6.5) * 0.85 for 15% discount for dbs. Tenso should be around the same +- $4.

Assuming google don't **** the consumer up by shipping in a very big box

I'm kind of serious as well. You did say there's no budget.

True.. But I did also ask which of the options were better. I do obviously realise I could buy a house in Japan and spend the rest of my life as a Japanese citizen... errr thanks?

use SCB 30% off or Citibank 20% for Vpost

Just called up DBS, for those who are interested, their exchanged rate from Japanese yen can be found at the below link with bank fee of 2.5% ( 1% for visa 1.5% for DBS).

Estimated cost for a 32GB N5 = $584.46 + 7%GST = $625.37 >.<

let's hope shipping fees not too expensive even after sharing between 2 pax...

If you read the post above then you would know that no one knows for sure now as it's all estimated atm.

So no one can answer your question.

Well, you could do that, and enjoy JAV every living moment.

Mine is both 32GB. one white and one black. ordered both at the same time. Have you called your credit card company and ask if the transaction went through? cause thats what i did once i confirmed the purchase with google and DBS was able to see that a transaction to google play store did go through.

Lucky much! Just checking, before you called your bank/credit card company up, what was the exact status of your order? "Pending"? Shall try calling mine up as well if that speeds things up! :o

From all the agar agar calculations so far on this thread, I've seen that most if not all calculated the GST wrongly.

Total cost : (N5 + local shipping/tax) x 7% GST + shipping cost back to SG

is wrong!

The correct way is : (N5 + local shipping/tax) + shipping cost back to SG = subtotal, then add 7% GST.

To put it simply, GST is = [device + shipping charges] x 7%
