What Connector is this?

This is the connector for new Samsung TV.
Tried to plug the headphone type jack and smaller (2.5mm) one
both cannot fit.
Former is too big, latter is too small.
Its not the optical socket as there is another socket for optical.

Anyone knows what connector is this?

Maybe you should read your TV manual, or perhaps find the manual online to find out?

I always thought TOSLINK S/PDIF port looks like the one here:

Doesn't these optical based ports require some shielding from dust just as those greyish plate acts as?

If I'm not wrong, some optical ports' dust protector are small plastic pieces that can be detached and may be lost, while other optical ports' dust protector just move to the side when the cable is plugged in.

this is the "standar" toslink
the one looks like 3.5mm ST jack is the "mini" toslink
