They can wear the watch so long as they work in the boutique. If they leave, they either have to give the watch back or can buy it at a discounted price, depending on the age of the watch.

So good.....................:)

I seriously cannot think of a "better" watch than a spring drive GS.....Its got the tech, the finesse, the spiritual side of watchmaking and history(...maybe not so much) to boot. Only thing lacking is marketing and its not made an angmo.

Resale price lose quite abit but its way over exaggerated. I've been trying to find a used SBGA031 but when new 7.8k, sell used(1year old) at 6.5k.....dont really see the reason to get used.

I will maybe only look at the 5K and below models. I think only if i really got the extra cash around.

Oh, don't mean to start any arguement here. I'm not the fashion police. Just expressing my views. I choose the watch I wear based on the business setting. But the price ceiling for a Japanese watch for me would be $200 (or even leasser) - doesn't matter what a technological wonder it is. And I would not buy certain Swiss brands too - like Tag & Rolex/Tudor. Peace.:)

Don't worry, we're not fashion police either... Just that expensive watch = success is a pretty archaic way of viewing it and when you mention some jobs require that, I'm even more curious what kind of job is that.
IMO preference for a certain watch technology/brand is nothing wrong, it's more for a personal indulgence and you don't need to use your job as an excuse to enjoy wearing it and showing it off as an status symbol.
F$ck anyone else who says the contrary, wear your obiang gold Rolex with pride. ;)

bankers? sales? those that need to meet alot of prospective clients so need to project success in order to clinch deals?

A expensive watch will probably get you a second glance, but once you start spouting nonsense...
A big ass gold Rolex or flashy AP ROO will not get you anywhere if your competency is not there.

I just realized that I can't find a single Stowa that has a date display? Is this true? If true why ah? Was looking at pilot watches

You sure about that? :)
There are a lot of Stowa with date. Actually you can choose to buy a dial with or without date. That's the good thing when buying from a small manufacturer like Stowa.

Doesn't matter successful or driving a car or being a property agent or bank, as long as I like and can afford the price, just go for it.

Life is short, just enjoyed........................:s12:

Hey guys, anyone can advice on the price range of the iwc IW391007 portofino chronograph after discount? Been wanting to get it for a loooong time

Some updates, headed over to Hourglass and was quoted 6.6k which amounts to a 12% discount. Possible to get a better deal elsewhere?

Clients don't give a damm what people wear la, especially corp clients. As long as look presentable and professional can liao. Important is what comes out of my mouth and whether I can provide a win win solution..

My first mechanical watch and probably the last, love at first sight. First know about this brand few months back, look around for watch to buy and couldn't get pass this. 38.5mm might be small for some but for my rather small wrist, I find it perfect.
