I much prefer this. You can't just have episode after episode of zombie slashing. We had quite a lot of that in the first season. The show has to evolve from that. Like how Lost evolved from just pure survival to something spectacular (best series IMO).

Naturally, in a world that has descended into chaos, you will have new 'colonies' cropping up. And some colonies will be friends with one another, creating friendship or trade. While others will be hostile and want to colonize you. That's what this season is about.

now zombie slashing like very easy job... anyone can do it... woud've been better if they show more on how the ppl outside atlanta is coping..

I think not everyone is doing as well as Rick's group and Woodbery. Tyrese's group didn't fare that well. The group of people the National Guard was protecting got split up and overrun. The hitchhiker didn't make it either.

I guess these guys just got good at slashing zombies.
