U2713HM vs U2913WM

Noticed Dell is having sale on its website:
U2913WM ultra-wide monitor now at $510.28 (weekly xmas deal)

On the other hand,
U2713HM 1440p monitor at $558.98 under the EPP offer.

Which one is a better buy?
I'll be using mainly for gaming and movie watching

get the 2713, the other has ultra wide aspect and not all your movies will fit well, in fact most will not fit well.

was in this dilemma like you for awhile. but the vertical height of the 2913wm really cmi. think shorter than a 2313hm if i nv remember wrongly. but the upside is i have seen videos on youtube and mmorpg looks very immersive on it, with that said not all games support that aspect ratio so you will get black bars on the sides. anyway for 2713hm, go 1440p if you have the graphic card to back it up. if not stick to 1080p. i just bought the 2713hm. i myself using 6990 and i feel its not even enough for 1440p.

Tune down to 1080 for games like me.
1400p need at least 3GB GDDR5 IMO.

I using 2913wm , movie and game is good actually . I played almost all game , I never meet any game or movie doesn't fit the screen unless is 240p . Except dota 1 u need force it to 16.9 if not too wide got play

yap, I am using 2913WM too.

it is not bad, but u have to get use to the low height, was using a DELL 27 incher (1920*1200).

haha, don worry, over time, our eyes can get used.

I got mine with for $609 with 5 yrs warantty.

Did you try adding the monitor to cart then check total price again? The coupon $150-160 but inside the cart discount given is $200.

Oh I never, haha. Later I go home try. If with credit card rebates means the monitor only ard 520+, quite worth it.

Its at dell website. For U2913WM, u need to add to cart before u see the offer. A few other monitors also having this Xmas sale

U2913wm is ips , the color is really good but if play fps game it can be ghostly sometimes . usually hardcore fps shooter go tn panel but the color and viewing angel is not good

Because it is 2560 x 1440 , while 2913 wm is 2560 x 1080p
