Is there any good alternative with 1.5/2.5 miles, Jetquay, Taxi and Fast Immigration?

I would think this is a fad than a useful benefit.

Access to JetQuay seems to be exclusive but the service level is terrible. It started with unreliable arrangement for the buggy service. On a recent trip I requested to have the immigration and buggy service 45 mins before the departure. The staff insisted on 75 minutes prior departure leaving me with only 15 mins at the lounge. After I packed-up and ready on time, the staff wasn't ready. I walked up myself to the gate. This happens twice so far. If you notice, the staffs makes no friendly approach for any service lapses.

Fast track immigration is another fad. If for whatever reasons that we can not travel (emergency, change of plans, etc) and you don't notify them 2-3 days in advance, hefty penalties are waiting. Was it around S$ 250 or S$ 350 / pax. In Malaysia, the service is not guaranteed, the immigration can cancel the service anytime without notice.

Limo service which is useful indeed. For heavy travellers, the price of S$ 488 may worthwhile if you use it over 10 times in a year.

Priority pass is useful but there are other cards offering unlimited access such as UOB Visa Infinite, Amex Plat Charge and so on.

I believe, this boils down to principle. As a customer, do we want to be treated fairly in a consistent manner or be available to subject ourselves with drastic changes. The selective marketing they did recently left many unhappy.

Let's look at the history:
1st year (2012): S$ 700+ for new members, S$ 488 for existing HSBC Platinum with Travel services. Gift: Sony Tablet S worth around S$ 400.

2nd Year (2013): Waiver with only 100 points used. Break-event point

3rd Year (2014): S$ 488 for 50k points a reduction from 112.5k points. Paying more than renewal gift worth.

4th year (2015): Will keep you in a suspense for next drastic change.

I just renewed (using points) but only to bring forward my points for one more year. I have already chuck this card away only to use for GV cards. I'm very certain I'll cancel card next year. My wife already cancelled hers.

I love this card. Just received the galaxy tab 3 for Nov promotion for Tier 3. I sold it for $520 on the same day =) Also, i have renewed the HSBC card for $488 for 45k miles (i called them in Nov 2013 and lady told me they process it as mentioned by forummers). So far, i love the Speed immigration and buggy in BKK, Jet quay is nice with free food..and free limousine is also very useful. Also, getting 1.5 miles for visa for local spending and 2.5 miles for overseas is great (only other card is Amex Privi which is less convenient to use).
In fact, this is the only card that has offered me so many things. Oh well, maybe DBS visa attitude was good while it lasted (got 2 nights stay at maldives and FAR card) until they stop giving points at AXS machine and become 1.2miles/$.

Wow, you created a new account just to comment on this thread? I respect your opinion, but the way credit card works you can only get renewal processed when it has been charged to your account and not before.

It seems some HSBC people may be in this thread after all.

I canceled my HSBC Visa Infinite card around 2 months ago...

I appreciate - JetQuay, Limo, fast-track etc... but, I canceled it with an offer to renew at 50% discount on card fee at $248, without bonus points, I rejected and request to convert my humble points to miles and closed account immediately.

I don't feel good when others received privilege to renew at 100 points but I didn't get to enjoy, someone called me back, instead of sharing some services or to sell the privilege benefits - straight to my face "We'll offer u a 50% discount on card renewal at only $248, we've tried but marketing doesn't approve our request. I told them, pls terminate my card".

HSBC simply don't understand marketing of products are not just free perks or discounts but the personal touch and service level are equally important, I told them, HSBC Visa Infinite is very far away from premium...

I don't feel anything missing, yes, I had personally lost JetQuay access etc... but, I would prefer good services, I had just renewed my Amex Platinum card - $1712, much expensive but I don't really feel it as compared to the insult I get from HSBC.

Yes, coz i learnt a lot from this thread so will want to contribute. And i am not from HSBC, never even heard of this card until i start reading credit card forum here. What they did for me is indicate in system about my renewal at 45k miles.. the lady said it will be credited in 2 and half weeks or something coz my renewal is just up in mid December. But they are honouring my renewal still.

Also, i only learnt about the 45k miles renewal from this thread..else i won't even know..would have just renewed at 30k miles since i like what this card offer anyway.

What prompted me to sign for this card is because of unlimited priority pass for me and my partner (we travel about 10 times yearly so it helps a lot). I basically get the free gift and sell it off..so i paid quite little for the first year with 2 unlimited priority pass.

If you travel 10 times yearly, you should rack up enough miles to have status, giving you access to the airline lounge, thus, you wouldn't need the PP.

Eh.. its range dependent lah.. 10x around the region isn't going to get you anywhere near Gold...

...on FT there are several guys in UA's forum getting 1K status (top tear, except the GS) on segments. That's >120 segments per year each less than 200-300 miles.

No, I would not want that job...

My dad used to do regional consulting, he would fly out every Sunday night / Monday morning and fly back Friday to KL, Jakarta, Manila. Super xiong but on those trips he made PPS Solitaire.

I am in Tier 3 but to date have only been credited with 75.000 point. I am still waiting for the additional 35,000 points to be credited since November. I have been chasing them & it appears that HSBC is super inefficient.

I am still offered with 75k point if I paid up $488 or $248 without bonus points. I canceled my HSBC Visa Infinite card not because I don't appreciate its benefits or privileges but the way HSBC handle my account.

I am a freak that loved services, I think I have still a lot of choices in Singapore market.

I had just renewed my Amex Platinum charge card, am I paying more? Yes, $1712, but am much happier, because Amex concierge knows how to talk...

We work very hard to make money, and I work very hard too for my humble income, I will let money spoilt my mood. HSBC Visa Infinite is damn far away from exclusive nor premium.

Guys, I had 5000 points deducted from my bonus points in November for no reason and I had to call the CSO to get the points refunded. I then check on my points today and realised 5000 points were deducted again. I complained to the CSO that such events only serve to undermine the integrity of the bank and I hope to get an explanation on how it happened.

Just keep a close eye on your points with hsbc...

The best alternative now with all the services - OCBC Titanium MasterCard

JetQuay - Yes $1.5k per month spend (HSBC 5k a qtr)
Limo - Same as above
Miles - about the same

best of all - no annual Fee, stuck up services by those arrogant marketing ppl

So HSBC 2014 there goes your investment and loyal customers
