New to macs here, is it practical to buy a MBA to run windows only? Was looking at ultrabooks but few were under $1.5k with ssd and under 1.4kg. :D

Nope. These MBA run really warm when they are on Windows. Consider a Wintel laptop instead.

Either switch to MacOSX or just get windows...

Macbooks really not ideal to run windows at all

I thought they ran with boot camp rather well nowadays. Anyway I shall try switching over as much as possible to OSX, really attracted to the weight and battery life. :D

Would it be better to run windows only programs through a VM or dual boot into Windows? Some programs like VS unfortunately only work on Windows. :(

Hi all.
Currently having problems with my iMac. The graphics suddenly get distorted. Random pixels upon start up. Now the screen freezes and I can't get it to work despite restarting many times. YTD was talking to an operator over the phone and did the options + restart method and it was okay. But today it doesn't work anymore. Is it a graphics card issue?

HDD working fine. Managed to do a disk check. Apple care expired. Hope the replacement is cheap.
