How would u rate the dessert (apart from the durian pengat) for this buffet?

Not bad. Some of the dessert items tat i like include their choc ice cream, durian pengat, pralines, macarons n berries. Cake wise did not really try cos i do not fancy those. Their hot dessert items like red bean pancake or studels also not bad cos the crust is flakey n buttery.

38 per pax? so cheap ah? promo till when?

Toons, $38/pax nett is based on a promotion, voucher or walk-in?

Errr, this spread is their CNY high tea spread, so their normal lunch spread might differ. Dun have sandwiches plus more main course dishes instead of the dim sum items (which i did not take pics of). Less roasted meats though.

The CNY high tea is $39.80++ with a 20% early bird reservation promo. Now i think its still $39.80++, but with a 15% discount for CCs. So it will be about $40 nett.

They might have removed it cos the deadline for the 20% discount for early bird reservation is 20 Jan 2014 which is already over. Its now just 15% discount.

Carousel recommended????

They have a big n varied spread, n their seafood on ice section is good. Imo, price on the high side, but the std is there. Other words, i wouldn't call it value for $, but i will not be disappointed with the food too :D Oh yeah, its halal.

They probabkly just prepare alot extras for that 2 days and any lunch leftovers got move over to high tea.

Anyway the high tea ones over already. But now the lunch price is the same as the high tea price on CNY. Just don't know whether they have the same items.

No, this is a special cny high tea menu. It's actually the same timing as lunch. They normally dun have high tea, it's either lunch or dinner. I check the high tea menu. The lobsters, crayfish n oysters are all in the menu. Not leftovers :p

Normal lunch dun have oysters n lobsters, but have other cheaper seafood like scallops, mussels n prawns.

My reunion dinner buffet at Spice Brasserie

A bit late but as you probably can see, it's not fantastic (maybe cos we had to settle for the 2nd seating)

Came free with the buffet - can't complain

Usual sashimi - quite fresh - no complaints here either

Roast suckling pig - funny how they cut it into strips

This was from the left-over from the first sitting so not that crispy

Here's the "refill" of suckling pig - much better but still not crispy (suspect it wasn't roasted on site - probably just reheated)

Stewed pork belly with preserved vegetable from the porridge section

Stewed "big" intestines from the porridge section

Dried oysters with cabbage - CNY dish but not that good

Pork ribs - the sauce was way too sweet

Wanted to take more photos but as I mentioned previously, they did a very poor job of not replenishing the items, hence I didn't even try any of them
