oh i'm short too abt 165... usually wear like 39 or 40 also. Sad but really some shoe brands are like out for us usually, cos their smallest is like 40 and can't fit our feet lor...

I got different problem from you haha! Its difficult to get shoes my size! My left foot is wider than right. So unless I bespoke my shoes, usually what fits my left foot very well, is a tad too loose for my right. Si bei sian!

Have not....its just too much for a pair of shoes albeit it is suppose to take into account of my different feet size on right and left. For example ED Et Al is charging 2500 for the first pair with 1000 for the last I think and 1500 for a subsequent pair.... Right now, I can still try to compromise and get fitting shoes even for Hush Puppies but for classic English Shoes, I only managed to find Loakes so far in Singapore that my fitting (not perfect, but good enough). Maybe one day I will give in to bespoke, but to me at least, paying 2000 bucks for a pair of shoes is indulgence, unnecessary money spent! (My opinion only ah!)

Would you all care to share your shoecare products? Creme, wax etc. :p

I recently bought a bottle of Saphir Creme (Ed et al) in burgundy, and it gave my shoes a very nice deep gloss.

I finish it off via polishing with a thin layer of neutral wax (Kiwi's).

How much does Ed retail the creme at?

Where are your shoes from? Looking good!

Consider getting shorter flat laces, think will look nicer!

Awesome shoes! I like the small heels...notice how the back of the heel block slopes inwards instead of straight down. Very elegant.
Also, the bevelled welt and sole edge are nice details

Your shoes look great! The colours and design, nice. :) What are them?
Btw, what do you call such shoes? Penny loafers?

Yes penny loafers. U can slot a penny under the strip of leather across the vamp which is how the name was derived

Thanks :) Yup, they're split toe penny loafers from Carmina. Used to be slightly darker than what's being shown on their site but too much brown polish unfortunately...

Thanks for sharing. Curious. For penny loafers, do they become looser as you wear them? Coz since they don't have laces, so I am wondering how do you keep it wearing fit nicely after long period of wears.

Hmm... Normally you'll choose new loafers that fit snug as most leather do stretch a little after wears. Once they are stretched to your sole, they will remain as such. With some conditioning of the uppers and keeping them in trees shall ensure longevity normally. Think of them as leather slippers(not flip flops) in a sense :D
