I would like something that is super reliable, and hopefully, long lifespan.

Processor: i5 4670
Mobo: B85 or H87 [Need advise on Brand and whether to use B85 or H87. What are the differences?]
GPU: AMD R9 280X (Cannot decided on brand due to different theories from different people. Some say ASUS due to the "better quality", Some say other cheaper brand better because "cheaper and doesn't make a different which brand. All the same"
HDD: 1TB [Should be going for a WD one due to good comments by most ppl i talk to]
PSU: Something that will not burn, preferably modular. Enough to run the set up and better to be able to run the set up if I add an additional GPU [Have heard horror stories on burning PSUs.]
Casing: Considering CM 311 (Looks does not matter. As long as its good for cooling to prolong parts lifespan, would be good)
Ram: 8GB or 16GB [Need advise for brand and either 8 or 16]
DVD drive: I will need one. Seems they are dirt cheap so its not that bad.
Cooling: Stock or not?
Moniter: 23 inch [Brand recommendation please]

Also, would like to know the price. I have a general idea of what it would be, but good to double confirm

THANKS!

You can say what you need and what you really want. But no budget allocated?

Paying more does not mean will last long. And paying more for premium does not mean it will last long also.

Its heng or suay thing. Some even buy Asus top tier mobo and fails within a few months. Some buy Biostar and lasted a few years.

What else do you need? Whats your budget?

Do you need keyboard mouse? Do you need wifi? Do you need Speakers? Do you also need an OS win7 or 8.1?

Due to personal preference, i5-4670 is needed so thats like $36 more but SSD is not required so minus $199 as it just increase boot speed which i dun really mind, unless there are other factors which i have missed out.

However ,would changing out the MSI GPU for a Powercolor one have significant differences? such as reliability and performance?

SSD will improve boot speed, shut down speed, installation speed, apps startup speed, even the browser start up speed. reliability and performance also much better than normal HDDs. its definitely a good investment

What are you needing on the just extra 0.2ghz from the 4570 to 4670?

You buy an entire rig at this price and you not gonna add in the SSD is a waste.

SSD bring in certain benefits. Not only boot time for PC. It is also reliable than a HDD alone. No mechanical parts and no moving parts. Your OS overall stability and also responsiveness is there. Say goodbye to slow responsiveness to certain things stored in HDD. Not unless software bugs or hangs for whatsoever reasons.

Games on SSD also gives a upper hand on certain MMORPGs. Giving good load time also gives you upper hand to maneuver your next moves. Not only that map loading is faster. Im sure games like D3 benefit from SSD loading also. Is about life and death when you see blank screen and mobs are attacking you instead and you can't do shyt.

Games like FPS battlefield 4 also benefits from fast loading. Grab a tank, helicopter and also buggy ride and you are good to go. While HDD loaders are still loading and probably have to walk on foot.

My main game now is World of Tanks now which runs on 1 single core so I have no choice but to go for something with a single faster core speed. Also, I am planning to stream. Would like to ask whether for streaming whether a more powerful CPU or GPU is required for better performance?

streaming requires a decent cpu and a good internet. gpu is not a factor. The 0.2ghz wouldn't magically let u stream if the 4570 can't. Not saying it can't though. Its easily powerful enough.
To add on, Most game aren't even cpu bottlenecked. Its the gpu. Spending that extra $30 isn't going to help at all. You would be better off with a nice meal before your game

What I'm afraid is World of Tanks might really bottle necked by CPU because it runs on 1 single core.

Apparently world of tanks run way better on nvidia graphics card than radeon ones. Free-to-Play Games Benchmarked: 4 Popular Titles Put to the Test > World of Tanks Benchmarks - TechSpot[/url]
Might want to change the 280x to a 770 instead

actually quite shocked by nvidia trashing radeon. Nvidia use too, or still has issues with World of Tanks. Makes it crash frequently
