You have to choose move to sd within the program

Rooted, ver13 not compatible with framaroot. Wait for update.

I got one from the March order but LED indicator is not working, it doesn't lit up not matter what, be it receiving e-mail, incoming calls, whatsapp etc.

Not sure if I've got a lemon or software configuration issue, i checked "Pulse notification light" under 'Setting", it is turned on.

Led indicator below home button

Have you try changing colors?

Buy from telcos likely to carrot chop too. Best is to camp yourself haha

Is cheaper over all if you need to renew contract.
Problem with this phone is there is too many version in the market. Is OEM hardware anyway. So purchase with care and ensure you have after sales service.

Examine the plans before re-contracting as it's a budget phone the 'subsidy' is low. Alternative is to re contract for another phone with higher subsidy. Sell it off and use proceeds to get the redmi.

So long as getting from xiaomi.SG or telco no worries. Getting from other sources not only risk getting non compatible version but risk of getting fakes.

Basically is a zero value phone for those low end plan. Anyway, I guess there is other better choice in this range.

I think most subsidies runs between $200 to $400 depending on the plans. The Redmi retails just for $169 and although is a good phone, is not one I find worthwhile to be on a contract for. There are more premium phones for contracting.

The redmi is a good phone if you are not on a contract.

Recently Singtel came out with 'SuperLite' phone with small amount of data (100MB). With that plan, RedMi price is $68. I think they have additional plan discount for senior citizens. So at least seniors can use whatsapp/line/wechat/etc on-the-go on their RedMi? :)

I have not explored the pre-paid alternatives but it is also something worthwhile checking out in determining which option provides a better cost value advantage.

Just gotten my Pistons.

It definitely does not feel or sound like a cheap ear phone. The built quality is amazing.

For those who already have it, do you use the default "general" or "pistons" sound setting? i feel the "general" setting sounds better with better bass.
