Was told to go back to XXX Camp for 2 days for the purpose of Preparation. Anybody know what 'Preparation' is supposed to mean?

SAF100 = Reservist

Just tell your boss that you are going back for Reservist.

Apology for the confusion. My boss would usually ask on the nature of the reservist. Any idea what 'Preparation' means?

Tell your boss that your commander said its top secret and you will know only when you go in. Anyway SAF big **** so like it or not your company will have to let you go.

trainers should have uploaded training schedule for you in ns.sg, go and check it out. If less than 1week considered LK.

U are not supposed to show the boss the training schedule also. The boss just needs to know u need to do NS for this day to this day, that's all. Telling him that u are doing what briefly, is more like a friend-friend type of info sharing, for his privilege but not his right. :o

lol... "nature of the reservist"... your boss is either very kaypoh or just trying to act smart.

just tell your boss that is classified and if he wants to know, he needs to formally request from saf.

When releasing classified information to someone, the basic requirement is whether he got the appropriate clearance. Assuming that your boss also did NS, he probably got the appropriate clearance. This is the basic requirement.

The 2nd requirement that needs to be taken account is "need to know basis". Is it necessary for him to know the details for what the SAF100 is for? I think think knowing the details of the call-up would change the fact that he needs to release you for reservist.
