I like detail, but still overall presentation affects my listening experience. Could be a genre thing too. Uncle wilson's 435 had them hitting fast and furious. Coupled with the less emphasized bass, i didn't like the overall "lopsided" presentation. But of cos many pple will be oogling over such a sound. I thought it will become fatiquing for me after some time.

On the other hand, tg334 did not have enough treble presence and apparent detail to me. As grand and non-fatiquing as it sounds, i was always yearning for more bite (that's why i was even less impressed with the MH).The mid bass hum was probably a tad over. Tried the alo sxc (hope you are still enjoying it :D), slightly better but also changed the sound to become rather less organic. Guess i'm still not a very silverish person. Not saying they are not good. Just that with all the goodness, but just one aspect out of my desired character can become the achilles heel. So since it's so high priced and i think i can find my more prefered sound elsewhere, better sell earlier to save on depreciation :D

Heheh! Well, Weng, I guess you are a bit more of a basshead than me. =:p

Hmmm... did you try the MH335DW then?

As for the ALO SXC, still enjoying it and have on rotation with the other cables I have in my little cable library. :D

haha i like bass but not too much also. gotta have the right amount (ok, my right amount) and i usually try to find a sweet spot all rounder. some iems may excel on certain aspects but quite lacking on another. eg vocals/mids and treble very good, excellent in fact, but bass sounds like thud thud thud or worse still, dap dap dap instead of thump thump thump :s13: haiz so difficult to find. i don't exactly need high end. in fact i play more with entry/mid range. technicalities is somewhat 2nd priority. signature and overall presentation are more important to me.

yup tried the mh335. it's good actually, but bass quantity tipped my scale a little.

I own the alo sxc cable as well. Actually after much listening, both cables are good in their own way. I still prefer 001 over alo cable. The vocals were compromised on the alo cable

Do you guys realised the more you used the TG334, the area around serial, logo and outer tip get scratches pretty easily? Any way to polish this up?

Reporting back from yesterday's test of the 435 since it came back from from repair.

Details were superb and even to a certain extent better than the er4. Soundstage were wider than expected, however what killed it was a strange veil on almost all the tracks I have tested. I asked the person in in charge and he agreed with my conclusions as as well. Sigh hoped to test it again in the condition it should be.

Hi everyone,

Just upgraded from dx50+w4r to dx90+TG334.

Loved how the music seems to attack me from all directions. It sounds really exciting compared to the "wun go wrong" combo of dx50 and w4r, in terms of dynamics and imaging.

My impression:

-Overall presentation seems to be quite forward with warm signature.

-Midrange very smooth and intimate.

-Mid bass punch is powerful and full bodied, but I find it a little bit overpowering for certain songs. Low bass sounds are not as detailed as I had hoped for. The midbass seems to slightly cloud the low bass at times.
Auditioned the tg334 with mh334 together. MH334 seems to be able to pick up lower range details better than TG 334 imo.

-Would have preferred the treble to have a little bit more sparkle that is reminiscent of brighter sounding iems while retaining the warm signature.

Next step: Heard a lot of good stuff about the toxic silver widow and its synergy with the TG334. Any opinions as to whether the silver widow can help add sparkle to the treble and also clean up a little on the bass details?

I tried some third party cables also prefer the stock cable. However I loves the cable 000 then 001.

I tried the 000 from someone who sold me his 334, sound best together IMO. Too bad the price and the cable stiffness just stir me away. Got the twag instead.
