I got my 50250 today. Noise level on low higher than my pc fans turn all the way up.

Transformer, I use hammond. Buy hammond not worth it leow. Just that I have one on hand.

Regret my purchase. Shipping via dhl n when u factor in the transformer cost..a blueair will be more worth it.

Going buy a blueair for my room.

Honeywell QuietCare HEPA Air Purifier, 17005-N...

basically needs to remove odor, smell, house mites, dust mites, haze.

and must have the 'fresh' air smell.

Use before..was a heavy smoker. Neighbour was complaining abt the smell...bought some other air purifiers..did not work..blueair 503 with a smoke stop filter does the trick..also rid the house of cutting oil smell. I have a workshop in my place. neighbour happy and I happy. Then I quit smoking and sold the AF....and the haze come..WTF.

Also..blueair is cheap now..when I bought..the shop is somewhere in the cbd area..the only shop which sell blueair in Singapore at that time. whole set is abt $1.5k. And at that time..most Air Purifier that are cheaper are ion type..meaning ozone is produced...

Since I am happy with blueair product..why not?

Also..blueair like honeywell ..no ozone or whatever.

Just like airpurifer for car..I use the philip go pure...expensive, yes..but it work well.

Want to buy..buy the best you can afford..else dun buy better..else problem come...waste more money.

AF are like tools...buy cheap tools, damage stuffs..good tools last a lifetime..

What I dun like abt blueair are the filter are expensive and need to be changed frequently..it add up to a lot.

Not easy to find a product that is cheap and good.

Yes...50250...cheap and good..just not cheap in Singapore.

Based on price and spec shown, don't think 2nd can justify the price difference over the first...

The KI-A60's main special feature is the crazy 25000 ions/cm^3 vs the 7000 ions/cm^3 of the normal models. It's also Made in Japan.

You are back!!! :s13:

Later this year there is a small possibility of a haze "party" due to extreme dry weather. Will get a clearer picture in 1-2 months.

Is the filter for sharp a28 hard to get?

I have never seen one being sold locally in HN/BD/Courts. Probably need to go back to Sharp agent. Alexander technopark.

Another solution is to just get the Fellowes HEPA that I SICed earlier that just costs usd29.99 from Amazon (free ship) and cut it out yourself and use scotchtape to tape up the sides to eliminate airflow bypass....if you can't get usd125 worth of goods to free ship, just tompang some folks in the Amazon offers Freeshipping Part 3 thread. Lots of kind souls there.

OIC... didn't dive into the detailed spec... just based on the comparison chart. :s22:

Plasmacluster is don't know what positive and negative ions (both, not only -ve)....not sure if it's effective also. But well, just anotehr feature if one believes in it. Main +ve i see is against viruses, though HEPA can also easily filter the medium (microdroplets floating in the air after sneezing) with the viruses.

Viruses, as in 1 virus by 1 virus themselves solely, do not float in the air. they need a medium. Respiratory viruses usually get transported by the micro respiratory droplets via aerosolisation.
