Given a choice, will you guys go for a speedmaster professional "moonwatch" 3570.50, the more original choice, however it has a hesalite crystal (scratch magnet?) and a solid caseback (can't see movement.. I know of some people who really needs a see through caseback for an automatic/manual movement); or the newer 3573.50, which has a sapphire crystal (scratch resist ftw :s12:) and a see through caseback for the drool movement~

just curious to see if you guys will go for the one closest to the original, or just grab the one that u like the best, irregardless of it being not as close to the original moonwatch :s13:

i will choose the latter....
sapphire for more practicality and the movement in a moonwatch, if i saw the correct one, is really gorgeous!

Will personally go for the latter, am a sucker for the transparent case-back, especially with that movement inside. :D

anyone know where to replace a watch strap for a nato strap?

May I suggest you trying to DIY? First you'll have to get a springbar tool first though, which was discussed at length earlier.

This also helped me greatly to understand the process.

LOL it is far from light! Pre-0wned can get from 8k+ but older series. BNIB latest P series can get for 10k+ grey (let me know I got contact). ADs don't carry this model I'm quite sure, only the Boutique and they won't budge from the $13k+ price tag. Panerai is trying to strengthen its brand by keeping stuff sold through Boutiques.

ok I compared them but I prefer the 024. I dunno why but the 305 doesn't speak to me. the 024 has a sort of signature and vintage look or somehow it just attracts me.

may I know how much from the grey dealers for the 024 ? thanks ah

Pam 24 is discontinued if I am not wrong. So pre-owed is the only way I think , though I have not seen one lately on swx trading pit. You interested in pre-owned?

I know what you mean the 024 has this vintage frogman helmet look

If you like bronze and patina, and got $20k+ lying around you can get the much coveted and rare 382 the "Bronzo". It's the 305 but in bronze, therefore heavier too.

Azrielsc's 389 will be featured in Expendables 3.

Expendables is the most testosterone loaded movie in my list of watched films :s13:

I had the same dilemma...researched so much. My advice...just buy what you like my friend :)

if you really must...get both :s12:

i would choose the original 3570.50 and buy a display caseback. i can live with the hesalite crystal. easily 5 min polish job or cheap enough to just change it. but i wouldn't buy new from boutique.

Nothing beats original. :)

Gnomon watches.

Where in SG can find Hamilton navy pioneer?

Or poison me with a marine chronometer please

Hamilton ADs. Try Stowa and Steinhart as alternatives.
