Just to add, the $10/mth rebate is only for 12 mth. They say can call them again to extent the rebate after 12 month.

Yup, been there done tat :D. Their system can only key in to accept up to 12mths only.....and if u forget to call them on the 12th mth...they do not call u to remind.

Just called 1688 this morning. After a brief chat with the CSO, was forwarded to retention dept. Was offered the same as above.

100mbps Fibre works out to be $31.50 monthly (5 mths waiver)+home line
15mbps ADSL works out to be $26.20 monthly (3 mths waiver)+home line

I don't really need 100mbps as I use internet for only a few hours a day. It seems 15mbps is enough for me. Hope this is the right decision. :s8:

Hi, can I check for 15mbps plan, the plan cost $29.90? do you need to pay any quaterly subscription fees for the home line? Whats the charges for the outgoing/incoming calls?? Thanks!!

Home line $10/mth rebate for 12 month, to call in again b4 12th month to continue for 12 months more rebate. I think incoming no charge, outgoing charges apply, not sure how much, but minimal only.

The only reasons for forcing mobile sim data down Internet BB users' throats is they hope you will exceed the 1GB and kenna the $70++ bill.
Kindly recommend an apps that can monitor and alert the 1GB usage and auto reset data usage every mth.

If you are using Android 4.0 and above phone/tablet, you can set your data limit and data warning in the settings menu.
If you are using Windows Phone 8, you can go to Data Sense app and set your data limit.
For iPhone/iPad, you might need to download data limit setting apps from the App Store.

Others have answered u. Just have a question....if u feel telco is out to earn more from u...why don't just reject the offer....or just don't use since it's a freebie??

Ive received da mdata sim card, realised there's a number attached to it. Does it mean dat if i put it in my smartphone, i can use it to make/receive calls n sms. Anyone know da charges, or is it similar to prepaid. Will da charges be post-billed or need to top up like prepaid. Can't seem to find any info.

Yes, it is able to make calls but there would be extra charges to it, not so sure on M1 though. The charges would be billed to your monthly bill.

Just recontracted with this too:

-15mbps ADSL works out to be $26.20 monthly (3 mths waiver)
-home line $10 rebate
-7.2 mobile but won't be using it.

All I can say is, calling 1688 is a helluva nightmare...holy KERAAAPPP!!!:(

Glad things worked out for u :). 1688 goes to CSO...which only hve std package to offer...for recontracts, only retention dept hve the best offer of the day. Thus, need to get thru' CSO to retention dept :). As I've mentioned in my previous posts....it took me 3 calls to get the best plan possible...things are fluid and can change per circumstances. Eg, PC show allows retention to offer a better package than normal days :D.
