Hi all,

can anyone share the differences between crizal and zeiss? which is better and for wat?

Also, i saw crizal has anti-fatigue that is for com users then they also got crizal prevencia, which filters blue light that comes from LEDs, coms, phones.

so are they the same?

I actually research a lot on this, as i am currently wearing a transition lens with titanium frame.

Thinking of changing to zeiss or crizal.
From what i heard (not confirmed), zeiss is like more expensive.
The functions that most people want, like simi resistance, both also provide.

Crizal have more choices to choose from.

Just my pov, Zeiss is high quality and high pricing. Crizal is high quality and reasonable pricing to me.

I think i am going for Crizal, going to my friend's shop @ Bedok to check it out before deciding. But i might be making at Malaysia KL, as the price is cheaper, and i visit KL quite often.

Dont waste time with owndays. Their PC frame pricing is misleading. Last time i went and ask and turns out 60 bucks is just for the frame without any prescription lens. With 1.60 lens, add 100 bucks. Upgrade to 1.67/174, add another 100 bucks. Best thing, the blue light cut is also considered additional add-on, meaning another 100 bucks. Anyway, lens with AR/anti-static coating are already by default filtering blue light from PC screens/gadgets. But if need be, you can go to any optical shop and ask for Anti-EMI(Electro Magnetic Interference) coating but most probably they will tell you everything under the world already included in the lens by default.

This two brand are v expensive. I usually go for AO which is acquired by Zeiss. AO 1.6 or 1.67 transition is good enough. KL cheaper.

Transitions drivewear good?

Need a pair of shades while driving. But lazy to change between sunglasses and normal glasses.

Normal transitions dont work in car but this drivewear suppose to work even when the car windows already blocked off the UV right?

is it necessary that zeiss transition will have the Z engraving at the corner?.

also was quoted for a pair of zeiss transition less than $200 at queensway, for the lowest index lense. is the price even possible for zeiss transition?

what other ways to check for authenticity of zeiss lens?

crosslink switch - metal frame price 550

the crizal lenses are mid-index so it's about 120plus to 130plus.

erm

crosslink switch and sweep is different.

sweep you can change the temple/stem

switch (my 2nd pair), only the lens frame can be switched out (to sun lens).
