At the update screen, bring up the contextual menu (first capacitive button - 3 horizontal lines) and select the update from there. It will download a 558mb file and that did the trick

Press system update den press the menu button. It will prompt the updater screen

How to do this restore update ?

It's on the MIUI website and it was a little complicated getting the link.

Anyways, you can download from the link below and place it on your Note.

Then in the System Update screen, bring up the Contextual Menu and do a "Select Update Package" and select that zip file. I guess you know the drill.

Lol I tot just restore the camera patch will do. Was afraid of restoring the whole 500mb plus file. After restore is it virgin or whatever is still left ? Damm lazy to reinstall the app n contact

Everything is still intact. No need to reinstall any apps or anything else. It doesn't mess up the data.

Oh ya, this patch didn't fix the camera saving to sd card issue. I will see if I can do the patch again. Will update on that status.

I testing now to see if no need to do a full restore

Installed the camera patch on v28 but it didn't change anything. Photos still saved in the internal storage. Will replace the camera app for now.

Try again in a few days time. I actually don't see any noticeable differences between v25 and v28.

After updating the mail app changed its interface but becomes very sluggish..

Edit: I deleted my hotmail and re-added and it's fine now.

It actually prompted me the update when WiFi was detected.

For me the patch installed without issue but the photos are still saved in the internal memory.
