I bought the wrong modular bay battery.

Anyone know is I can mod my laptop (maybe with another modular bay card) so that I can use my new modular bay battery? Assuming they have the same sockets, as I did fully dismantle my old S7021 but not my still-functional E8410.

Has anyone heard about the sound card socket problem affecting SH560 that causes windows to hang? If yes, did you manage to fix it? Thanks for sharing.

My colleague's Fujitsu notebook S6520 has refused to boot up. No POST, no hdd whirring, no fan sound. Pressing the power on switch does show the blue led for power, but this is quickly followed by either the num lock led blinking away, or the scroll lock led blinking away.

Has anybody encountered this problem before?

I removed the battery and retried power up. No luck.
I removed the 2 sticks of ram (2x2gb) and reseated them. No luck.
I removed the hdd and tried to boot. No luck either.

Any ideas?

Please help!

Hi guys, I'm new here and not much of a techie so please bear with me. I have a Fujitsu S6520N with vista 32-bit, 4G RAM.

system has been a bit laggy with startups, reboots, waking up after sleep mode for a while but the real trouble started yesterday.

laptop's gone without reboot for a few days i guess, i usually leave it on and put it on sleep when i'm away. so yesterday i had IE on with lots of tabs open, a couple of Word docs, itunes, skype. i noticed that physical memory was running high at about 70-80% so i closed some tabs, closed Word, etc. still it was really high and at some points i got error messages/out of memory messages.

then as i started to look into the problem i realised that explorer.exe was using up lots of memory like 40-60mb and later i noticed svchost.exe and dwm.exe taking up lots of memory too. i tried to run a virus scan but once it got to explorer.exe, the system hanged. i tried rebooting and force quit a few times cos the same thing kept happening.at first it wouldn't load the welcome centerupon startup though the desktop loaded fine (clickable n everything). sometimes it wud just load the frame of the welcome centre with a white space where the text n images should be. n now it wont even load anything upon bootup.

i'm on safe mode now n i tried running the scan - same issue. hangs at explorer.exe.

can anyone tell me what the problem is?

this is most definitely not the first time i've had issues with my computer. it's crashed on me a number of times for which i've had to send it for repair at the uni vendor as well as privately while i was abroad.

thanks in advance guys!
