I understand if I have never meet agents from other insurance companies as they have a small agent base.

However GE has a big agent based, so why is it that GE IS ACTING so high-handedly such that prospective clients have to approach them instead of the other way round?

I don't see prudential acting the same way GE does.

Clearly, there is something wrong with GE and is probably attributed to GE choosing only big clients. So much so for all their accolades and awards if that is the only thing they do.

Somehow if GE influences or inculcates their agents to do so, the agent would be influenced to do so?

I note that GE under OCBC so only OCBC customers gets GE agent, other prospective is rejected without any assessments not any meetup.

You serious? That's precisely the reverse of what the agent did to me.

At least prudential knows how to apologise if they knew they are in the wrong, this GE agent thought he is king can do anything he likes for his own entertainment.

If hunger for sales, I had to be put back for 1.5 mths and still gave me all sorts of excuses holding me but just don't want to meet me up. Anyway the agent already told me he chooses his clients, that basically sums it up why is he so high-handed and proud.

If he talked the way he had talked to me, I am sure even you would just flare up.

1 agent=all agents=entire GE?

no story, no head no tail.

If the agent can act in this way, it shows a lot how the company inculcate values to the agent.

Didn't want to repeat my story so Many times.
Basically I knew the agent 1.5 mths ago. I had initiated about my interest on investment related plans. He kept on telling me time after time his systems was down and could not meet me but yet he can also tell me he is meeting other people.

The first few time I gave him the benefit of doubt and waited for it. But as I asked him once every 2 weeks, he keep on claiming I am impatient. I am of course impatient what, I wanted to faster invest my money and yet he have a nonchalant attitude towards it and keep on asking me to wait.

Until around end July, he gave me a date on mid august. Until the date itself, he didn't even contact or inform me that he can't meet me. When I confronted him 2 days later, he even dared to tell me "no mood to meet me" and didn't even apologize or offer another meeting date.
He even told me to go google myself while I was impatiently waiting during the 1.5 mths. If I had to google myself, why should I pay any commission to him with such high premiums? He thinks he don't need to work at all for the commission?

Don't want to show chat logs here because we were chatting a lot of those irrelevant stuffs because I was trying to bring my point that I was super impatient waiting for him and that he can actually meet me casually without any use of systems to intro me to some GE products.

i dont understand...you only encountered ONE agent. why are you so hard up over ONE agent? if you are genuine about knowing more, than why cant u find another GE agent? it isnt hard. every agency will have bad eggs. you cannot expect the CEO to inculcate values to every single employee.

pardon me, but i feel that you're out to stir sh1t.

I am not hard up on any agent. I am Definetly not stirring any thing, but I just want that agent to get his due justice.

I am also not the one who will go look for agents because they should earn their rights to the huge commission they earn. I will only initiate unless they are like people I know or through another friend.

Are you even trying to speak up for this agent? IMO it's bad enough as he is spoiling the name of GE he is representing.

if you want that agent to get his due justice...then why u keep using GE name? name the agent, let everyone and thus the agency know who is the bad egg?

what you are doing is not punishing the agent, but rather, punishing GE, which you claim is not your intention?

to put it simply: you kaopeh here so much, action only. you want the agent to get his due justice, march down to 1 Pickering Street, dont go to online forum and use mouth talk only (or rather, use fingers type only). :s13:

I already sent an email to GE. I don't want to stomp down to their office lahs. I don't want them to feel just probably they are one of the bigger player in the insurance, the customer must go to them.

Sales number 1 is agent and company goes to customer because simply no free lunch in this world.

I am waiting for MAS to announce that prospective like me can buy any plans without agents. This way only only good and customer inclined agents stay, bad agents good riddance. If I have to do all the work and research, I won't pay nobody.

No free lunch in the world and you only earn the money with your hardwork, not by free-loading. I will still ask 1001 qns even if I already knew all the answers to it.

Btw are you one of their policyholders?

Personally, I feel there's no need to be so piss off with this agent. Is it worth your time and energy? This type of people can appear in any agency/insurance company, not just GE.

He might be in another league (serving HNIs) and if he does not want your business, tell him thank you/bye bye and look for another guy in GE, if you still want that specific product from GE.

:)
