For 500Mbps - D-Link DIR-868L
For other fibre plans - D-Link DIR-865L

You have to terminate your existing service yourself. It's best to wait for the new service to be up and running before you terminate the old one (a bit of overlap is better than no internet for a while).

I'll be getting the 200mbps plan, so it'll be the D-Link DIR-865L. I'm currently using the Asus N66U. Other the ac band (i don't have any ac adapter, so will be using the N band), is it worth to get this router or swap for the starhub points?

Secondly, be terminating later means opennet need to activate port 2 for my TP and starhub will issue me another ONT? I'm currently on MR and am unsing the Huawei ONT.

If you are not facing problems or limitations with the N66U, just continue to use it. The 865 is nothing special. Mine is still BNIB in the storeroom. I can't even be bothered to sell it due to too many sellers depressing the prices. If you don't want the 865, better call them to tell them in advance.

It's safer that way. At least you will have continuous internet access all the way thru the whole process. I've heard too many horror stories of screw-ups and finger pointing and poor folks relying on 4G for temporary access.

Anyone knows how long is the waiting time for Starhub/Opennet to come to install the fibre termination point? I got a resale flat and the previous owner declined Opennet to do the installation previously.

Do we still need to wait couple of months like before?

Hi, my current Singtel fibre contract is about to due and is considering Starhub Hubbing Plan.

I've heard quite a number of feedbacks on the unreliable connectivity and not getting bandwidth near the subscribed plan.

Just wanted to see if there are any happy Starhub fibre users here to share their experience before I decide whether to jump ship.

Happy users please share your experience with me, if any. Thank you in advance.

These few days experienced constant connection dropping, for a few minutes the connection is there, a few minutes its not. It is going on constantly, saw complains on the Facebook page of star hub now. Was good for the past few months i agreed... but now...

I'm on the 100mbps fibre plan, signed last yr no hubbing plans for fibre yet. So far I've been using it for close to a yr,I wld say that its very gd,nt much lags or slowdown. Even downloading torrents its quite fast, 20-30mins its done. And also got hubbing discounts too,I've bundled in my starhub tv,what's there that I can ask for?

Renewed and signed up for the 200mb fiber.
During lunch yesterday, Starhub came and changed my ONT/MODEM to the new version Nucleus Connect which supports tel direct.

All was fine till suddenly after 4pm, all signals went dead. Basically the indicator lights were all out cept for power. Lost all internet and tel.

Called technical support at 7pm and 1030pm, they explained that they were preparing the upgrade (previously 100mb) back-end.

My question is .. What's taking them so damm long?

Starhub is overall very stable for me, always able to achieve full speed as subscribed. Minor flaw with them is once in a while the connection suddenly gets disconnected constantly for a few days.

Comparing their service 10 years ago, they improved like over 9000 nowadays.

Got ppl pick up calls, willing to send tech service guys down to my home. Willing to replace modems and stuff.
