Currently using a Westone 3, tried the sennheiser momentum and was quite impressed with the sound produced from it. Wondering if there is any IEM that can produce that kinda sound at a much smaller form factor, westone doesn't produced that kinda soundstage.

- Your rig: android phone
- What type of usage: Music and Movies
- File format used in your source: 320k mp3
- Genre of music you listen to: pop music and vocals
- Headphone / earphone type: IEM
- Other requirements: good bass and soundstage and clarity
- Budget: < $200

thanks!

I lost my year-old UE600 recently and I'm searching for a replacement. I'm currently looking at ATH-IM50 but I wonder whether there might be better alternatives within a budget of $75 - $150. Please feel free to make any suitable recommendation even if it requires some stretching of my current budget.

- Your rig: Mac / Android
- What type of usage: Mostly for music listening
- File format used in your source: FLAC and MP3
- Genre of music you listen to: Female vocals
- Headphone / earphone type: IEM
- Other requirements: Would gladly sacrifice bass for clarity since I listen mostly to female vocals (one of the main reasons why I chose UE600 back then)
- Budget: $75 - $150

Any promotions for Shure SE215?

Amazon USD99 with free shipping. Prefer to get locally if the price is close.

Try the JVC FX-T90 and Fischer Audio Eterna Pro, bro. You can also view their existing promotions on first page of Stereo Promotion. :)

One of the good choices would be the renowned VModa M100. You can also get their Boom Pro Microphone which you can attached when needed. :)

Hi guys! Thinking of changing my headphones to a better one. Here's my details. The more the help, the merrier it is! Cheers! :s12:
  • Your rig: iPhone, Office PC
  • What type of usage: Movies, music
  • File format used in your source: mp3, once in a blue moon flac
  • Genre of music you listen to: pop, rock, rnb, dance, hip hop, basically everything except jazz, acoustic, classical.
  • Headphone / earphone type: Closed, circumaural
  • Other requirements: Not too heavy, relatively easy to port around, doesn't heat up my ears too much (cause I'll most likely be using them in office for the whole day).
  • Budget: ~ $200

Currently considering between Beyerdynamic's Custom Pro One and Audio Technica's M50X. Price difference I've seen is about $40.

Main concern about getting the Custom Pro One: Portability and flexibility. It's not as flexible, i.e no swiveling ear cups like the M50X, plus it doesn't fold. No way to properly keep and protect the cans too unless I get a case like THIS, but gonna cost extra $$.

Main concern about getting the M50X: Weight and not using it to it's full potential. Plus, the carrying "case" isn't really a case, more like a pouch, which frankly seems flimsy and disappointing.
According to Amazon, the M50X is ~900+ grams, compared to the Custom One Pro's ~300+ grams. M50X seems to clamp the head slightly harder too.

Someone please help me with this dilemma. Your help is most appreciated! :s11: :s22:

Stereo bro, any recommendations for me? Out of the 2, which would be better? Or am I missing other hidden jems? :o

:s13: Guess we cannot really have everything, bro, plus this field is a never ending exploration. Besides the two given models, you can also check out AKG K551 with a special price promotion of $199 (usual $399.90) and Sennheiser HD449. :)

VSonic GR07 Classic or Hifiman RE400

They work excellently for vocal genres

Need a recommendation.

Hey guys, I need a new IEM.

Your rig: PC, Xperia Z. (Need to buy a player. Recommend me one too!)
What type of usage: Music, Live-Sound Monitoring
File format used in your source: FLAC, MP3 sometimes. Live Sound too.
Genre of music you listen to: Pop, Rock, Electronic, sometimes Metal.
Headphone / earphone type: IEM.
Other requirements: Preferably replaceable cables, I spoil cables very easily. Angled jack if possible too.
Budget: ~$800 including a player. Maybe $600 without? (IS THERE A COMBO?)

An advanced thanks!

For IEM with detachable cables, you can take a look at Westone, Shure and some of Audio Technica models. JVC FX850 would be a great option, too! For a DAP within your price range, you can consider iBasso DX50 or DX90. Check out our promotion for these two for the month of October. ;)

Hope don't mind that I'm not following format.

Read a lot of reviews and I want to get sennheiser ie80 because of the wide soundstage and nice bass, but looking at stereo website it is out of my budget and amazon doesn't ship them to singapore :(

Any alternatives for ~$400 that have a wide soundstage and good bass?
